I'm reading the Night Circus right now. It's pretty good, but if you get distracted easily it's not..."
I loved the Night Circus it was fun and had this exquisite imaginary world. I listened to the audiobook which helped lead you into this crazy world.

Started

I enjoyed that series too and have yet to find one that matches it in quality!

You should see Breaking Dawn is was the only good movie they've done!

I just finished

Absolutely loved it. It's even better than the first book and the last few chapters had me crying all over the..."
I really hated that I have to skip the 2nd book. I got bits and pieces what happened but I still want to read Alaric. I thought I'd missed Rionna & Alaric's book but what a pleasant surprise for me bc I loved her from the first book! I'm soooo loving this one!

These are the first Maya Banks books that I've read and I enjoyed them so much t..."
I haven't gotten to KGI either but I've read Falcon Mercenary and Brazen. I saw that her SWEET series has high ratings too.

Definitely plan on reading it...just maybe not right now. Thanks for your input!! :)

Are the Lora Leigh books comparable to anything else I might have read? Read LOTS of paranormal and shapshifters but just haven't gotten around to her's.

It's written by Laurell K Hamilton and seems to have some extreme reactions to it. I myself like t..."
I stopped at the 8th book and it was perfect. They seem to take a nosedive after that

Het name is Darcy lol yes after the infamous Jane Austin's Mr Darcy, I so need to stop calling pets the names I'd use for kids lol, she is two & completely nuts, does laps inside when I get home, plays rough lol she doesn't & wont have all her teeth, the vet said she wont get them so if she bites it's a playfull one. I think the lady bred from hert dogs too many times & this is a result of that but I wouldn't give her up for the world

I think there's always some type of similarity between the same genre of books with werewolves, vampires, and etc. It just depends on the author's writing, characters, and story line to make it their own. Lora has done that with her breed series.
I know Laurann Dohner has a series - New Species - which is the same thing, but Lora does it so much better. Lora's Breeds series aren't really the typical shape-shifting books because these people can't shapeshift and there's nothing really "paranormal" about it. It's just people who were experimented on vs. being born into it or being gifted with powers and etc. I would give it a try :0)
I was hooked within the first couple of books and I kept reading because I wanted to read about the other characters she kept covering. I'm still waiting on Cassie's story.

I agree, absolutely loved it. Read Cowboy Casanova afterwards & the D/s element paled in comparison.

How'd you like

That's great! I'm currently reading On the Edge & it's fantastic!

Glad to hear it! This is the next "new" series for me to start once I wrap up a few old ones. Kate Daniels is one of my favorite UF series and now I can't wait to start this one!
Finished
this week, and hoping to dig into the next one tonight. :) Needless to say, it was a great recommendation - I loved it!!

how cute, i like the name Darcy. Pride and Prejudice is on of my favorite movies. haven't read the book but plan on it. i've read some of her other ones though.

How'd you like [bookcover:Lawe's ..."
I liked it a little better than the previous book, but the whole female not wanting to mate because the male is a Breed situation is getting old. It's book #26 and there's still a whole slew of characters she has to cover. Some say that the writing isn't up to par as it was in the beginning and I can see where they're coming from. It may be from lack of interest because it is the 26th book after all. All I know is I'm waiting for Cassie's book ...and for Lora Leigh to somehow wrap up this whole series without having to cover 392034308 more characters from the series. I still enjoy reading the series though.

OMG!!! you HAVE to read it. I didn't really know about it until I was harping on to a friend about reading Bridget Jones's Diary & they told me I needed to watch the BBC mini series of the same name with Colin Firth. I LOVE IT!! I own it & have sat up trying to do assignments with the 24disk, 6hr long series lol like dirty Dancing & Grease I can recite during the show. The BBC series is sooo good, I love Elizabeth's dad. The book extends it a bit & explains more. I used to keep the book in my bedside drawer & would read it over & over again

That's not good. I'll just try my best to read it. I'd really hate to DNF it.

I love that series! Have you tried her other series

I finished

i definitely will. i own it, actually all of her books just about except for Northanger Abbey and Lady Susan. i just haven't been in a classic novel mood. the last one i attempted was
Madame Bovary and i couldn't finish it. just too slow. but Austen's books are good. i love the books and movies. i have seen that rendition of Pride and Prejudice. i also love Colin Firth. he's such a great actor.
