I read both series and Night Huntress is for me on number 1 also!

Pansy, Is Larissa Ione's new series just as good as her Demonica series?

I finished #1 of the Demonica series last weekend and can't wait to read more!

Ditto. Oh, and the whole bookmark deal. I have these monkeys, I mean, kids, who likes to look at the books I'm reading and pull out bookmarks. I hate ear-marking pages because with having kids, sometimes you get interrupted a lot and that's a lot of bent pages! With the kindle, I can just turn it off and not worry about losing my spot! I doubt my kids even know where the on/off switch is. They know to leave mommy's kindle alone :0) And big/long books are easy on the wrists with long readings.

Christine | 1127 comments After reading the first three books in The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare and the first three in the Hush, Hush series by Becca Fitzpatrick, I'm thinking YA really isn't for me. I can't say I really enjoyed being a teenager, so maybe that's why I'm not really enjoying reading about them?

However, I am kind of enjoying reliving some of my childhood through all the 80s references in Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

Hi Wanda, I read Spider's Bite last year sometime and it really didn't leave an impression with me one way or another. I can't say I was inspired to continue the series, but that's just one person's opinion.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to finish the book, but I'm not sure that I'll continue the series at this point. I'll have to see what I think by the end. I have too many other books and series that are calling for my attention.

I am reading the Vampires in America series by D.B. Reynolds right now and it is really good. Also, I normally only read paranormal but the best book I've read this year is Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1) by E.L. Two words: Nalini Singh.

She's got two series that are my absolute favorite PNR series.

You're welcome! That's just it, there's so many other wonderful books in the world... sometimes spending time on the blah ones just isn't worth it.

Amanda Carney I finished Wish You Were Here (Mrs. Murphy, #1) by Rita Mae Brown . It was just ok. Kind of boring. Now starting Touch of Seduction (Primal Instinct, #4) by Rhyannon Byrd and I'm only on page 20 and have read a sentence that said, "pooling like melted sunshine between her thighs." in reference to certain bodily liquids. I'm thinking this might be a cheesy read! Haha!

message 17838: by Christine (new)

Christine | 1127 comments P.A. and Michelle, you've got to move the Psy/Changelings up on your TBR pile. The series has a very different feel from the Guild Hunters (not so dark), but still has that great writing that lets you feel what her characters are feeling. Each book is a new couple, but it's all one big recurring cast so you get to keep up with each couple, and even if you don't like one particular book, you might love the next one.
