I thought of the same thing, and took a break before starting Harmony's Way (Breeds, #8) by Lora Leigh , and know I'm eeking through the middle. I think I'll do a "everyother" thing...like everyother book will be a Breed, and mix it up with something else. There are some of the Breed books I'm looking forward to, but they're not for awhile (I think).

I love Merit and the gang...but after Hard Bitten I'm a bit worried. Pondering Deep Drink, haven't started reading it yet. Wondering if I should wait a bk or 2 to see if CN will give the readers what they lost in Hard Bitten. No spoilers but wink, wink - you know what I'm talking about.

I didn't care for Bitten too much myself, because I really didn't care for Clay or Elena. But in the second book she introduces a whole cast of other characters who then get their own books. I really liked the books centered on the other characters. Just food for thought.
