Aside from Bones, I'd pick Mencheres. He's awesomely powerful, good looking, protective, and surprisingly funny I love when Cat asks why he speaks so formally and he says "Shit's gonna spatter;start buggin yo" That was the best.

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments BTW, Shadowflame (Shadow World, #2) by Dianne Sylvan kept me up reading til 4am and I still couldn't sleep, was thinking mind as well stay up bc I saw it was getting lighter...than heard my son got up school, sigh...what a great read, so much action and emotional turmoils, conflicts and endurance Miranda has to conquer. Got another 100 pgs to go.

P.A. Lupton (palupton) | 909 comments LilaBird wrote: "Everybody keeps talking about this Mencheres story.....I've never heard of this! Can somebody give some more info? Thanks!"

Mencheres' story is part of Jeaniene Frost's Night World series. They are spin-off's of her Night Huntress series. The books do have appearances from Cat and Bones but are told from the 3rd person perspective of other characters. The first that was published in the series was Spade and Denise's story First Drop of Crimson (Night Huntress World, #1) by Jeaniene Frost and the second was Mencheres and Kira's story Eternal Kiss of Darkness (Night Huntress World, #2) by Jeaniene Frost

I think readers should read her books in order of publication because there are things in This Side of the Grave (Night Huntress, #5) by Jeaniene Frost that would be confusing if you didn't read First Drop of Crimson first.
I love her spin off books, it's nice to see from the perspective of other characters in her book. I would actually love to see anything from Bones perspective too.

P.A. Lupton (palupton) | 909 comments There's one series I absolutely love that I don't see on your list. Its called the Love at Stake series by Kerrelyn Sparks. The first book is How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire (Love at Stake, #1) by Kerrelyn Sparks
Kerrelyn Sparks writes amazingly. She is funny, her vampire world is great, and the love scences are steamy. Her newest in this series is out on the 27th and I've been counting down. This is also a series I pick up and re read.

This whole series in on my tbr shelf, just because of the buzz about that scene. lol
