who knows with men? I have given my husband a few books I thought he would like and they are collecting dust as we speak.

My husband doesn't read a lot either and when he does it takes him like 2 months to read one book. Right now he has been reading all the William Martin books.

Boo Boo Kitty My husband can't laugh at my titles or front covers cuz I now have a nook.

P.A. Lupton (palupton) | 909 comments You guys are making me excited to start Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh I just got them today and I can't start until tonight. It's too loud in my house right now--my kids are animals. LOL.

Beth wrote:I am so in love with Bones! I have pre-ordered and bought everything that Jeanine Frost has written. Stash some treats and drinks by your bed cuz you won't want to stop with 1!

Me too. He is my favorite hero of every series I've read so far, and Jeaniene Frost tops my list of fav authors.

I hope you like it. I'm about 100 pages into Archangel's Blade and I am already in total lust with Dmitri!

Your kids sound like mine. It usually sounds like a pack of elephants are loose in my house. When I really want to read though sometimes I can block them out.

Jeaniene Frost also tops my list of favorite authors and Cat & Bones are definitely in my top three of couples. As for Bones - Hot, strong, vampire with an English accent to boot. He had me at Hello.

message 15357: by Boo Boo Kitty (new)

Boo Boo Kitty Im so excited to find people that enjoy reading these books as much as me! I love series where the women are fighters. And men that love warriors are even hotter! You are going to love the Alana and Rapheal. I can't wait to hear what you think!

I was already in lust with Dmitri from book 1 and he wasn't even the main character so I have no doubt that he will have me drowning in his "special blend" once again.

Don't you mean Hallo? LOL. I think what I love about him is how he will stand back and let Cat fight, but he's there if she needs him. I loved when he was training her and he would knock her unconcious--I know that sounds bad, but I loved that he did it to make her stronger. Rather than hover over her and protect her, he made her strong enough to protect herself. Love Bones!!!

If you check out Jeanine Frost's website, she has some deleted scenes and such. It will help ease the lonely nights away from Cat and Bones.

message 15363: by Boo Boo Kitty (new)

Boo Boo Kitty Word! Bones is sooo hot! It's all his attitude and he has swagger. I love that he is strong, funny, and loves Cat the way he does.

P.A. Lupton (palupton) | 909 comments I've read all of Jeaniene Frost's deleted scenes and all of her novella's. I feel like a Jeaniene Frost stalker. It's pathetic, I've even reread the first 4 in the series about 5 times. I laughed at an interview she gave because she said that a lot of her fans know her books better than she does--I'm probably one of them. I can tell you any quote from any of her books, and which book it's from--I might even be able to pin it to the chapter.

LOL - too true guvnor. That is exactly what makes those books so good and the two of them such a great couple. I don't think that I have ever laughed so hard as when I read those books. I love that he has her back but doesn't try to keep her from being the bad ass woman that she is.

message 15366: by Boo Boo Kitty (new)

Boo Boo Kitty I wouln't call myself a stalker per say but I check her website everyday....not sure if I should admit that.....too late!

message 15367: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) ok now I can't wait to read this series. and I have no husband to comment about, we've been divorced for 3 years now, and id probably get a snicker or two out of him, my ex boyfriend though would probably be reading right along with me, though may he rest in piece

P.A. Lupton (palupton) | 909 comments I think she likes fans like us. THis is why I love GR so much. I told a few of my friends about her books and that they had to read it. For some reason when I tell them about the half vampire who hunts and kills other vampires with her ex-gigalo, bounty hunter, vampire boyfriend, I come off sounding a little weird.I don't get it *shrug*

I just scared my dog again! That is hiliarious! When I try and explain the books Im reading, people just slowly back away. They'll come back, I always say.

message 15371: by Boo Boo Kitty (new)

Boo Boo Kitty I am so happy my co-worker recommended GR. It's nice to hear about new books or talk about the ones you love to others that know and understand such things like Annette cleaning the house like Martha Stewart on crack! How funny was that whole scene!!!!

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 538 comments I often feel like I need to hide the titles of books that I bring to work with me... (I work at a church)...
but with titles like- Succubus on Top and Pale Demon
it's a little hard to keep the older congregation from giving me dirty looks

message 15373: by P.A. (new)

P.A. Lupton (palupton) | 909 comments That scene and the following chapter were my favorite of the whole series. When she cleans the kitchen after Cat tells her she is going to knock the slut out her.I laughed so hard. But the best was the dare that Cat issues to Bones right after that scene:
"Do it your way, but I suggest another one. You could go ahead and beat her bloody,
or…you could give me such loud, screaming orgasms that the sound of them blisters her ears. If you have any former-whore-turned-promiscuous-vampire tricks you’ve been holding back, well, bring them on. I only have one stipulation: You’d better outperform any service you gave to her or anyone else, because if I don’t wake up tomorrow red in the face from embarrassment at what you did to me, I’ll be disappointed."

I still say that is the best dare ever.

I just laughed so hard....I can't imagine a priest seeing those.

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 538 comments During lunches at work, I have read the entire Succubus series, The Hollows series, some Dresden Files, Cassie Palmer series, Mercy Thompson series, Ghostwalkers series, Midnight Breed series....

They've seen some pretty interesting stuff from me...

I sometimes wonder how they come up with their titles. I put off reading Nalini Singh Psy-Chageling series for months because of the titles (Slave to Sensation. Branded by Fire). I'm so glad I finally got over that and read them! So maybe I should give 'Gentlemen Prefer Succubi' a fair chance?

message 15378: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) I laugh at the titles, and I laugh at those who give me quirky looks, like when I would be reading a nalini singh book.

Lol! My husband doesn't read anything either. He makes fun of my books too. Usualy the covers of them. I find myself not reading some because the cover makes it look like some steamy romance novel when that isn't the main theme going on.

Melanie | 19 comments I'm currently reading Legacy by Jeanette Baker. Wow, this book is really good. Can't put it down. Its multiple stories in one book. Love how you get the best of both a current day romance with the mystery of the past. The historical part explains how the future can unfold either with repetition of unfortunate past failings or the promise of a curse lifted.

My husband just looked at my current book cover last night: One Foot in the Grave (Night Huntress, #2) by Jeaniene Frost and said "Nobody, even a vampire, wears stiletto heels on a bike."

Michelle(Chelle) aka Nightshade - Cake Whisperer (michmag) Did you tell him in this book she still only half-vamp....

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 538 comments I did, actually... I was like well she's half vampire/half human.... he just laughed at me
