Denise Nanna | 1321 comments Funny that my mom is reading Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon , my husband is reading A Breath of Snow and Ashes (Outlander, #6) by Diana Gabaldon and I am reading An Echo in the Bone (Outlander, #7) by Diana Gabaldon

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) | 538 comments Hahaha! That's great. My hubby and I generally only fully agree on Harry Potter or Piers Anthony books. But I read way more than he does. I live and breath books, while he dabbles.

P.A. Lupton (palupton) | 909 comments Alana, that's funny. My husband doesn't even dabble. He only reads in the washroom--it's taken him years to get through a single book. He hasn't even read my book! First of all he doesn't like reading, and secondly if he did, he would not read anything with witches or vampires.

I love Andreas and Tegan. Andreas with his model looks and Tegan is so hard and mean. Dante is my absolute favorite.

message 15310: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa (aurorapixi) | 187 comments Today I finished Spirit Bound (Vampire Academy, #5) by Richelle Mead . It wasn't as good as the last one, and didn't get good till about half way in. Next I might read Let Me In by John Ajvide Lindqvist . I am in TX and this is my Aunts book. The libraries here don't have what I'm looking for. I did bring down the first two books of the Tairen Soul series, but my Aunt started it and I don't want to interrupt her =) Sounds like she likes it so far, I'll let you all know ^_^

You are absolutely going to fall even harder for Hawke in this book. Power just radiates off him. This is a sexy and steamy book.

This is the third time in the past few days I've seen someone who recommended this series. I feel like I'm missing out because I haven't read it yet.

Michelle(Chelle) aka Nightshade - Cake Whisperer (michmag) You need to get on the bandwagon quick P.A. I am on book 2 right now. I felt a re-read of the series was in order before I read the new one.

I have a question about this series. Is it more and UF or PNR? Do all the books follow the same characters or is it similar to BDB and other PNR where each book focuses on a different character? I have heard conflicting things and was curious. I do have the first book to start but am not able to get to it right now. Thanks guys!

The first 3 books follow Elena & Raphael. I haven't actually read book 4 yet but I understand that it follows Dmitri who is a character in the first 3 books. I think I would classify more as PNR than UF but that may just be my own opinion. There are other characters in the series that I would love to hear their stories as well but personally I can't get enough of Elena & Raphael so I hope she writes more books where they are the main characters.

message 15323: by P.A. (new)

P.A. Lupton (palupton) | 909 comments I just bought the whole series for my reader. I'm going to start on Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh today.

Michelle(Chelle) aka Nightshade - Cake Whisperer (michmag) Excellent - Happy reading.

I agree with Michelle that it's PNR, but I think it gets closer to UF than her other series (Psy-Changelings) and has a darker, grittier tone to the writing. The first three books do center on Raphael and Elena, and book four (I'm 100 pages in) is Dmitri's book. Trust me, if you read the first three books, you'll be desperate to find out more about the other characters and will hope they get their own books, too. And I love her take on the creation of vampires. It's very creative.

We HAVE to have Illium's book. And Jason. And I have to admit I'm really curious about Venom now, too. And the rest of The Seven while we're at it. Sounds like I need to track down this novella!

Michelle(Chelle) aka Nightshade - Cake Whisperer (michmag) It is called Angels' Pawn. I got it cheap for my nook a while back but just got around to reading it yesterday.

I am curious about Venom as well and Jason. They are all great characters.

Enjoy your read. I must say the books not only has great plots, hot-as-hell characters ..but all so beautifully written. I swear I can touch those feathers, and felt the proctection under those angel's wings, sighs...

Michelle(Chelle) aka Nightshade - Cake Whisperer (michmag) @Crazy4more I completely agree with you. The author makes it all seem so real. Ooh! That's in the "Angel's Flight" anthology that she's releasing next year. I'm not usually one for anthologies, but this is one that I have to have: 'Angel's Pawn', 'Angel's Judgement', and the new 'Angel's Dance' (Galen and Jessamy's story).

Yes, This is my 1st time reading the Darkyn series and I love books 1&2. It is a tad dark but great storyline, great suspense, hea etc.
It's a top 5 series for me now. Try book 1 and see if you like it.

@Alana, Terri & Sandy: Hard core cowboys fan here, but I married a New Yorker. Hence I always hear about the Yankees, Knicks, Giants etc. It's just as bad.

Dallas Cowboys need to rebuild our secondary. Until then, we won't be able to stop anybody good. We are too slow on defense.
I think redskins will win (as I cry inside for having to admit that).

I haven't read the new one yet. That is kind of why I was doing a re-read because I wanted the previous books to be fresh in my mind when I read Dmitri's story. Can't wait.
