Amanda (mskat) | 11 comments Currently reading The Invisible Ring by Anne Bishop. I've read the three previous books and just loved them, and have this one sitting in my to-read pile for the longest time. I'm not really "feeling it" yet, but still hopeful it's going to end up another fav since I love everything else Anne has done.
Also reading Killbox by Anne Aguirre. So far it's as great as the previous books too.

Ann Mayburn | 18 comments Beloved Vampire (Vampire Queen, #4) by Joey W. Hill

I really like this one. It's the 4th book in the series, but has a male Dom/vampire instead of the usual female Doms, but he is a very...caring Dom. Not going to give away plot, but he relies more on strength of will than strength of hand.

I didn't care too much for the first one, but each one gets better and it ends up being a really good series.

I actually couldn't read the last book in this series because it was 9.99. I don't think I'm cheap because I buy hundreds of books, but I just couldn't get myself to pay 9.99 especially after the other ones were so much cheaper!

I just get them at the library xD

message 14619: by Crystalclearwpg (new)

Crystalclearwpg (chrystal-clear) | 23 comments Ya I have the same problem so I hit the second hand stores or salvation armies and get them for about $0.99-$4.99 each. Usually if I have my daughter with me, they give me the cheaper price thinking the books are for her.

Crystalclearwpg (chrystal-clear) | 23 comments I just bought Wondrous Strange and Darklight for one dollar each...never been read either( no spine bending marks). Gatta love that.

message 14621: by Ashley (new)

Ashley (ashleycw) I still use the library for things I have to read, and then when I can find a good used copy for cheap, I buy it just to have in my collection.

Ashley (ashleylaura87) | 162 comments I started A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire, #2) by George R.R. Martin this weekend. It's really good so far. I keep picturing the HBO show actors now and not the way I imagined them. :) Pretty excited to see where everything end up after the last book.

P.A. Lupton (palupton) | 909 comments Just finished Devil to Pay (Night Huntress, #3.5) by Jeaniene Frost which was good, but not quite enough--I don't usually like novella's but hey, it's Jeaniene Frost.
Starting Primal Kiss This book will catch me up on the Breeds series. Excellent series.

I was so disappointed with this book. I never actually finished it, the story just seemed to drag with no real plot. I wanted to like it, I saw good reviews, I liked the sound of the synopsis, but for me it was boring. Do you like it so far?

I have to admit I loved this book. It does start out a little slow and all the action is packed into the second half, but I am very excited for book 2.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 407 comments What to do, what to do? My Bloodlines just arrived in the post but I still have to finish my re-read of Succubus Shadows before Succubus Revealed arrives. I'm in a total Richelle Mead lovefest at the moment.Plus I'm still halfway through Enemy Lover which I'm enjoying also. Guess not much is going to get done around here while I am in reading heaven.

message 14632: by Crazy4more (new)

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments Finished Devil Without a Cause (Devil's Bargain, #1) by Terri Garey . It was ok. I couldn't find that WOW factor, sorry.

So many books coming from my library, yikes...
About A Dragon (Dragon Kin, #2) by G.A. Aiken Last Dragon Standing (Dragon Kin, #4) by G.A. Aiken
Shadowflame (Shadow World, #2) by Dianne Sylvan
Running Scared (Sentinel Wars, #3) by Shannon K. Butcher Living Nightmare (Sentinel Wars, #4) by Shannon K. Butcher Blood Hunt (Sentinel Wars, #5) by Shannon K. Butcher

I'm thinking of reading them in this order. And then I have 4 books from Georgina Kincaid too. Wish me luck!

message 14633: by Alisa (new)

Alisa (alisakayco) | 110 comments I just finished Masked by Moonlight (Moonlight , #1) by Nancy Gideon which was okay. I'm hoping that it gets better from here on out like most series do. I also just finished Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between (Rhiannon's Law #1) by J.A. Saare which I really liked. I'm reading the 2nd book in the series next. After that, I'm waiting for some new releases on the 30th (which is today, WOOT!) and I'll be starting on those :0)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 368 comments All of y'all are lucky with your libraries. Mine has nothing! I've thrown in the towel on trying to get books there. I just order them off Amazon now. You can usually get a 4 for 3 deal and free shipping. Now you can pay with your American Express points on there too.

I am 300 pages in and I have to say that I really like this book. It is slower moving than a Night Huntress or BDB book but I like the way the author tells the story. If your looking for instant hot sex this is not going to be the book for you but so far I love the main characters and I think they have great chemistry. I will definitely read the next in the series based on what I have read so far.

I feel the same way about my library. I wound up going to the nearest bigger city and paying for a library card there. Its $5 a month but they have a HUGE selection so I think its worth it.

I'm reading The Darkest Pleasure (Lords of the Underworld, #3) by Gena Showalter in paperback and Virals by Kathy Reichs on audio during my commute.

Yes! Soulless was the first book I read this year and the first 5 star rating I gave (two other books have gotten 5 stars out of the 101 I've read so far). I haven't read Heartless yet, but I liked Soulless the best out of the three.

Vanessa (aurorapixi) | 187 comments Early this morning (before sleep) I finished Blood Promise (Vampire Academy, #4) by Richelle Mead , and wow, I am starting to finally see what all the fuss is about. Then today (after sleep and the daily grind) I sat out on the screened in porch listening to the light rain while the sun set with the mist hovering over the bluffs and drinking coffee, I started Spirit Bound (Vampire Academy, #5) by Richelle Mead . This series is getting really exciting for me and I'm sure it wont be long before I have it finished.

I wasn't going to read Lord John Grey but then I heard that Echo in the Bone makes a lot more sense if you do. This book is more like a murder mystery with very little romance.

I like the Cin Craven but very little compares to the Night Huntress series.
