Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 368 comments Kelley Armstrong's books get much better as they go. I
felt the same way about Bitten (Women of the Otherworld, #1) by Kelley Armstrong but then they get better.

message 14352: by Jade aka MrsTosh (new)

Jade aka MrsTosh (mrstosh) Im reading Origins (The Vampire Diaries Stefan's Diaries, #1) by L.J. Smith

Michelle(Chelle) aka Nightshade - Cake Whisperer (michmag) I just started The Help by Kathryn Stockett

I am only 50 pages in but I already love this book. Minny is a hot ticket. I was laughing out loud on the train this morning.

message 14354: by Teeka (new)

Teeka (teekacurtis21) | 1 comments I'm reading Kim Harrison's A Fistful of Charms (The Hollows #4) I've made it this far in the series so I must finish it. I keep getting told they will get better & they have (compared to books 1 & 2) but still not a story I can get pulled into. I really enjoy the characters but I get bored with the plots. I am ready to be done with this series so I can read something else.

message 14355: by Delia (new)

Delia | 27 comments I just finished the last book in the Chicago Land Vampire Series, Hard Bitten by Chloe Neill. The whole series has been great and it was a fun fast paced book, and a much needed easy read after just finishing A Dance with Dragons a few weeks ago.

ok I Finished I liked it, I stayed up until 4:30am finishing it lol. Not the greatest book buy definitely not the worst.

message 14357: by ~Jennifer~ (new)

~Jennifer~ (book_addiction) I re-read Bitten a few weeks ago and halfway through I realized I had already read it at some point. It just didn't do anything for me I guess the first time through...and sadly the 2nd time wasn't any better. I'm told the series gets better, but I'm not sure I'll ever get around to reading them.

Oh goodness! I do that once every couple of weeks I have to sneak to the guest room so I don't wake up my husband and he checks me into a mental ward! I actually think the last time I did that was while reading Enclave by Ann Aguirre.

Fortunately I'm single so I don't have to worry about waking anyone up... I stay up all night reading about once or twice a week.

Temperamental Angel | 32 comments I do enjoy it:-D I started book 1 last friday... Loved all the books, but I have to say Mercy and Riley are my favorit.
I couldn't even remember who Dev was, this morning when I started Blaze of Memory. I'm getting a completly different picture of him in this book... I thought of him as this semi old man in Tally and Clay's book

Love these too! I prefer the ones with changelings - so Blaze of Memory and Bonds were good but not my favorites. I felt like I had to wait FOREVER for Hawke's book to come out!

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments OMG...that's what I get for pratically sitting at my computer the last two days listening to Innocent in Death (In Death, #24) by J.D. Robb . I devoured this book. It just dawned on me I'm going to be out of my Roarke, yikes... Waiting for my library for the next two.

Good thing Enemy Lover (L.O.S.T #1) by Karin Harlow is filled with action AND getting interesting. YUM...

I felt the same way about that one. My favorite was Cade!

I'm reading Taming the Fire (ACRO, #4) by Sydney Croft right now, and will probably go back to Succubus Dreams (Georgina Kincaid, #3) by Richelle Mead . It's a good series, but I'm just not as wowed as I thought I would be.

I always make sure I turn in on time because there is always a waiting list for these books. I think this person should be banned from checking out any more Death series boooks. I'm sorry you're pissed. It's very rude, especially knowing there's always a wait for these audiobooks. And it doesn't help that I'm keep raving how awesome the latest audiobook is. Sowwy...

I finished Innocent In Death in record time. I was so bad, it's like nothing else existed. I was like a zoombie sitting in front of my computer, no family functions, chat, chores were limited, etc. My Roarke has been my savior from other craze, who's going to save me from my Roarke now, sigh...

message 14383: by Crazy4more (new)

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments Patty, how did you like Shadowflame? I loved the first book, waiting for my library. Also, I have A Discovery of Witches on my desk too. Heard lots a great reviews and rec's, how did you like it?

message 14385: by Lisa - (Aussie Girl) (new)

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 407 comments Crazy4more, I finished DofW a couple of months ago. Good, but a lot slower and not as smexy as a lot of our PNR favourites. It is the first book in a proposed trilogy so a lot of setting up of story, characters, etc. If you like a longer, slower burning book with a lot of interesting historical references you'll enjoy it. Was a solid ***and a half stars from me.

I'm in the middle of Halfway to the Grave and I'm soooooo in love with Bones! He's amazing. I've heard so many great things about this series so it's already another one of my favorites. I've only read a few pages of Dark Lover but I've heard good things about it. How many books in the series have you read? Do you love the whole series or just certain books in it?

message 14393: by Crazy4more (new)

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments Just finished Enemy Lover (L.O.S.T #1) by Karin Harlow . So good...how good? let's just say good enough to fill the void my Roarke had left me when I devoured him in two days...yeah...that good. It made my weekend, and it's raining dogs & cats her in FL!

Can't decide what's next? I'm thinking of switching genre since this one did it for me for 'action & PNR'. Maybe a naughty read like Broken by Megan Hart or Passion by Lisa Valdez
