What are you reading right now?

Maybe you need a partner to read RETRIBUTION. I need a couple days to finish Demon Angel, then I'll join you. You have another read in the mean time?

Thanks Lisa, my first read from Ms. Brook was Iron Duke. It was hard to get into her complex world, but once in, I'm pulled and amazed by the intricate plots, characters, etc. From that admiration, I wanted to explore this new author, but I tell ya, it's not the easiest read to lose yourself into. I'm not giving her up though. Thanks again.

I had the same problem, I got the first 3 in the series, and the demon angel took me about a week to read because I kept putting it down, I did finish it in the end. The story was good but as you say there was just something about the book I could not get into. I still have not read the other two books yet.

I have Jacob on my list of books to read this month. It looks good."
Finished Jacob yesterday, it was good. Gave it 3.5 stars. Some of the smexy scenes were HOT!
Now reading,

I am on the third file of my audible download of Ghost Story, the latest Harry Dresden. It is good, but very slow going. Unfortunately, Harry is a spirit and has limited capabilities of interacting with his surroundings. Which means a lot just takes place in his head. Lots of memories, we learn more about how he broke from Justin DeMourne, and how he feels about what he did to rescue his little girl.
But again, it's slow because of all that. I'm still working on it, however.

Woah, Cassidy, the Fever series will absolutely grab you and not let go. At least you started it when it is all written and you don't have to wait for a book to come out!! Waiting for

I am reading

Will have the next in Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter series out in Sept. "Angel's Blade" is Dimitri's story. Nalilni Singh can't be beat, she establishes such believable worlds for her characters to live in. I can read her series again and again. Actually, I have : )

Have you done the bookswap on here? How does it work and how much are the books?

I love the Sookie books! They are a lot of fun! :)
I'm currently reading Scandal in Spring by Lysa Kleypas and it's a very lovely, fun, light read. :)

Thank you so much for the info.

Anywho, I'm reading

LOVE me some Dark Hunters.

I'm not very impressed, but with only 30 pages read so far I'm hoping it will become more interesting as the story develops.
I'm almost done with
Maggie Stiefvater has outdone herself with this one. It's sad, and happy and infuriating. Best book I've read in quite a while.

I loved that series, stick with it, it may be a bit slow at first, but it's really good.:)

Thanks for the encouragement! I've learned that it sometimes takes me up to 100 pages to really get into a book. Especially when it's the first book in a new (for me) series.

Loved this book, but on the Ash front there should be a little surprise for you at the end

I shelved the JD Robb In Death books in Science Fiction.

Quote:
"Mommy she's killing Chuck E." hilarious.

The romance part was pretty awful. I liked the premise and the storyline overall but I hated the heroine and her relationship with her "boyfriend" was lukewarm at best.

I agree! I'm a little prejudice with this series though because it's my first paranormal adult that I read and I have a soft spot for it! I love this series. The first book with Michael and Alex are not my fav. They get better!

Have you read the Kindred as well?? Loved them too, the next one comes out in December :)

After about 90 pages I'm definitely getting more into it as I figure out what's going on. But....they smell like flowers? That's an interesting twist. ;)

Oh no, I didn't and couldn't finish Demon Angel in 2 days. It's still due tomorrow and I'd like to finish it though, I'll pay the late fees...I'm still not as engage on the characters as I'd like too.
