Vanessa (ayeestrella) | 41 comments I just received my copy of Hard Bitten and I am very afraid to start it instead I started reading so far its very interesting and new since the author mixed Greek mythology with PRN and the heroine is a badass sometimes too stubborn, but the book is good.

I think I am going to wait until the next book in the Chicagoland Vampire series to come out before reading this latest one since all the talk about the ending been shocking and horrible is freaking me out. lol

Also, I am not that into the Sookie Stackhouse books maybe because I saw the TV series and every time I read the book I can't help, but picture the people from the TV version. I have read some of the books- I still don't see what's the hype- I do have the latest book in the series although I probably will not read it anytime soon.

I totally agree with you. The cliffhanger wasn't that much of a let down either. Some people say that cliffhangers are for authors with crappy books and the cliffhanger guarantee's that the reader will purchase the next book. I do not agree with that at all. Cassandra Clare is one of the best writers I've encountered and I'd buy her book with or wothout a cliffhanger.
Seriously people, buy City of Fallen Angels. It is really good!

Hmmm I think some of the best books/series I have ever read have major cliffhangers! It does make you want to come back for more...but I would read Cassandra Clare regardless of cliffhangers...that being said, I still can't make myself finish it quite yet! I know how it ends, and I just have to get into the right frame of mind:D I just keep telling myself, it will be okay in the long run.....I hope anyway!lol:D

Denise Nanna | 1321 comments The cliffhanger at the end of City of Fallen Angels (The Mortal Instruments, #4) by Cassandra Clare was actually a pretty juicy one, not one that you should say you wont read it. It just gives you that much more to look forward to when the next one comes out. It is a good book and I cant imagine waiting to read it if I had it.

Sillylittlefishey | 1025 comments I just finished Dead Reckoning (Sookie Stackhouse, #11) by Charlaine Harris ....I really liked it not the best ever but good none the less. So glad that Eric and Sookie didn't break up like the rumors led me to believe....I'm banking on them overcoming their problems in the next couple books...I've invested too much in Eric for CH to pair Sookie with someone else.

Will start The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein tomorrow since I've had it from the library for a week without even cracking the cover...

Melissa Adams (smiggle26) | 3 comments I am currently reading Midnight Rising by Lara Adrian. It is part of a series called Midnight Breed. Each book is about a different Breed Warrior but all flow off of each other. Midnight Rising is the fourth in the series and I have read the previous and plan to read the rest. The books are a little slow in the beginning (lots of discription). But once it gets going I can never put them down. I am addicted.

Now I'm reading Darker Than Night by Kim Lenox ,which just like the other book, starts out slow but picks up towards the middle. I was going to read Unholy Ghosts (Downside Ghosts, #1) by Stacia Kane but now I think I want to read a contemporary or a historical romance. I have to look and see what I have.

Have you read the Highlander series by Karen Marie Moning (KMM)? I STONGLY and HIGHLY recommend you read those first (they're really good) before you read the Fever series. Many of the characters in the Highlander series carry over into the Fever series (including the Fae Queen). You won't know who they're talking about or their history/backgroud unless you read the Higlander series first. It's not required, but it helps & makes the Fever series (which are AWESOME) so much better!!

(Both series start a bit slow, then pick up so don't give up on them to early!)
