What are you reading right now?

I totally agree with you. The cliffhanger wasn't that much of a let down either. Some people say that cliffhangers are for authors with crappy books and the cliffhanger guarantee's that the reader will purchase the next book. I do not agree with that at all. Cassandra Clare is one of the best writers I've encountered and I'd buy her book with or wothout a cliffhanger.
Seriously people, buy City of Fallen Angels. It is really good!

Hmmm I think some of the best books/series I have ever read have major cliffhangers! It does make you want to come back for more...but I would read Cassandra Clare regardless of cliffhangers...that being said, I still can't make myself finish it quite yet! I know how it ends, and I just have to get into the right frame of mind:D I just keep telling myself, it will be okay in the long run.....I hope anyway!lol:D

I got about as far as (view spoiler) I'm going to read it, I just have to be in the right frame of mind I think!lol["br"]>["br"]>

I liked this one a lot better...although I hate the struggles with Sookie and Eric but I'm putting faith in CH that it will be just another obstacle for them to overcome and that they will overcome it in the next two (final two?) books

I really liked the Fever series...the first one was just meh for me but they got better and Shadowfever alone was worth reading the whole series for.

Will start

What do you think of it so far. I just purchased the book, I love DB Reynolds, but was real dissappointed with book 3, Rajmund.

Save your time on the Sookie one, real disappointment.

If you like the Sookie series, read it.

Have you read the Highlander series by Karen Marie Moning (KMM)? I STONGLY and HIGHLY recommend you read those first (they're really good) before you read the Fever series. Many of the characters in the Highlander series carry over into the Fever series (including the Fae Queen). You won't know who they're talking about or their history/backgroud unless you read the Higlander series first. It's not required, but it helps & makes the Fever series (which are AWESOME) so much better!!
(Both series start a bit slow, then pick up so don't give up on them to early!)

Viehl's series is good. I like the diffent types of characters. They may be a "good" guy but some are nicer then others.

Good series. Sometimes the story wavers a little, but all in all a good series.

Good series, the later books are really good.

absolutely loved Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan series. Where else can a Vampire, a Pixie, and a witch live together.

Two great series. Love the different men in Meredith's life. they're each so different

oh I know right! well maybe in Anita Blake's world but that's about it

yes they are but I sooo do love Doyle, I'd take him from Merry in a heartbeat

I think I am going to wait until the next book in the Chicagoland Vampire series to come out before reading this latest one since all the talk about the ending been shocking and horrible is freaking me out. lol
Also, I am not that into the Sookie Stackhouse books maybe because I saw the TV series and every time I read the book I can't help, but picture the people from the TV version. I have read some of the books- I still don't see what's the hype- I do have the latest book in the series although I probably will not read it anytime soon.
