YAY for BOTH series!!! OMG The BDB is my favorite-I'm in love with Vishous, followed by Rhage!! The Midnight Breed series is a lot like the Brothers as in each book is written on a different member-it is my 2nd favorite series, you may enjoy!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this series!! Be certain to finish it up so when the next one comes you will be ready!! Also, in case you didn't know-there is a spin off (Night Huntress World) that are books on each of the characters we love, but didn't get enough ie Spade and Mencheres for now!

Shelly (nicksmom02) | 9 comments Hey, Tamran!!! Thanks so much for the invite!! Thanks for having me, y'all!! I have been on the prowl for some good books!! I REALLY enjoy vampire/werewolf kinda stuff(think Black Dagger Brotherhood *DROOL*) and I love to read in a series as opposed to stand alone, unless it's a really great one!! Series I have read and would recommend, the first few are DEFINITELY in order by my favorites, are:
(1)Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward *adult
(2) Midnight Breed by Laura Adrian *some adult content
(3)Night Huntress by Jeaniene Frost *rarely adult content
(4)Twilight(it only dropped when I fell in love with the others, don't doubt my LOVE for this series!)
(5)Night Huntress World by Jeaniene Frost
(6)House of Night by PC Cast/Kristen Cast
(7)Mark of the Vampire by Laura Wright-just finished the 2nd, and last one released and I really enjoyed this series and it's just starting-that's a plus!
(8)The Immortals by Alyson Noel
**Have read a few stand-alones and I'm just not as interested in those as I am a series-if I getta good one, I'll share!!

Right now I am halfway through One Foot in the Grave (Night Huntress, #2) by Jeaniene Frost and loving every minute of it!

Oh I just bought these books and I think this will be what I read next. As I have a couple and I'm torn on what to start on. But these seem to be calling my name.

Sillylittlefishey | 1025 comments I just finished my re-read of Living Dead in Dallas (Sookie Stackhouse, #2) by Charlaine Harris ...I really didn't like this one the first time through...but I liked it a lot better this time...Eric in spandex how could I go wrong?? I think my problem before was reading the whole series back-to-back...I think maybe it was just too repetitious for me.

I just jumped like 200 people on the waiting list for The Fifth Witness (Mickey Haller, #4) by Michael Connelly at my library...I didn't expect getting my hands on it so soon...but I'm planning to start it tonight....so another break from the paranormal....in lieu for a sexy defense attorney.

I'm reading Sophie Jordan's "Firelight" but am not really liking it. I'm contemplating sending it back to the library and not finishing it, as much as I hate to say that. I just can't stand it, really. :(

Don't worry I've had the same reaction with Firelight. I wasn't able to finish it and I even own the book! Good to know I'm not the only one haha...

message 12318: by Shawn (new)

Shawn | 375 comments Just finished The Keeping (Law of the Lycans, #2) by Nicky Charles Jessica was right, it was a little slow. I like the story I would have liked to have seen more character development instead of all the scenery description. But in the end she pulled it together and left a decent cliff hanger. Now I'm reading The Finding (Law of the Lycans, #3) by Nicky Charles I just have to finish what I started.

message 12319: by Bemidji (new)

Bemidji (ehleighen) | 39 comments while it's not romance, about 6 months ago or so I read The Maze Runner (Maze Runner, #1) by James Dashner . it was just ok, i wasn't too impressed, but usually once I read a story, I like to see how it continues, so I just read book 2 - The Scorch Trials. it was so much better than the first book, I liked it, although the ending was a cliffhanger, grr! the other day I finally got around to reading The Summoning (Darkest Powers, #1) by Kelley Armstrong . granted it was a day off, but I read the whole book in one day! I just didn't want to put it down. It could use some romance, but I liked it. I started The Awakening (Darkest Powers, #2) by Kelley Armstrong the other day. I also started reading Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse, #1) by Charlaine Harris with my husband. I'm not that far into it, so far it's following True Blood pretty well, so I do feel a little bored as I just watched the first season the other month.

I am scared to read it bc I heard that it has a clifhanger at the end?!?!?

message 12323: by Joyce (new)

Joyce Mannarino (joyce82270) | 155 comments There is a cliffhanger that will make you mad but it is worth the read. 5 stars from me!!

message 12324: by Crazy4more (new)

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments You'll be fine Brandee. It's so worth it. It's so good and so seamless as it continues where City of Glass left off. The aching and yearning btwn Jace and Clary, the trouble in their horizon, though I thought Valentine was the apex of evildoer...I was wrong. At least he wept and held on to Jace for what was worth. The rest of the characters were just as awesomely written. Don't pass it up bc of the varies ratings and cliff-hanger. You won't regret it. Heck...if we can survive Mac killing the Beast, this cliff-hanger is a perfect set up for the next book!

Carrie Olguin (keriokie) | 7 comments I read so fast, I would have to post a book a day. Right now I'm finally reading Gena Showalter's "The Darkest Secret" which I will probably finish tonight.

I'm still waiting for Paris' love story. I heard she's finally writing it! Poor guy - the first time he meets his soul mate she's killed and it just keeps getting worse from there!

I love her writing.

Carrie O.

message 12334: by Denise Nanna (new)

Denise Nanna | 1321 comments Reading Definitely Dead (Sookie Stackhouse, #6) by Charlaine Harris . I agree that it might be a bit much to be reading them all in a row. It can get repetitive. But I am liking the series and holding off watching True Blood until I am finished reading the books.

message 12335: by Magda (new)

Magda | 558 comments Reading Darkfever (Fever, #1) by Karen Marie Moning . So far, it's good.

I finished Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires, #1) by Chloe Neill & couldn't really get into it. It was very descriptive, lots of political talk & not enough action.

message 12336: by La La (new)

La La | 245 comments @ Denise

You don't have to hold off on watching True Blood until you finish the series. Other than season One the show strays far from the book. And even in Season One they change some things.

message 12341: by Pansy (new)

Pansy | 740 comments I just completed Born of Shadows (The League, #4) by Sherrilyn Kenyon . It was good. She could have made the book longer so the ending did not seemed rushed. I enjoyed the story a lot. I really like this series. It is filled with action, suspense, and hot passion. I am looking forward to the next one. I am starting Big Bad Beast (Pride, #6) by Shelly Laurenston . I love Shelley Laurenston.

message 12342: by Magda (new)

Magda | 558 comments Finished Darkfever (Fever, #1) by Karen Marie Moning and Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires, #1) by Chloe Neill and both were lackluster to me. I need a book with Passion & ROMANCE!
