I liked the first four books in the Vampire Diaries, but the fifth just wasn't any good. I read the whole book and I probably couldn't tell you anything more than they were in some hell dimension and Stephan was locked up. I think I might have unintentionally skimmed the whole thing.

I absolutely love the Vampire Academy books, too. You should try reading Richelle Mead's Georgina Kinkaid series. She is one of my favorite authors.

I have that book too an my to be read pile on my book shelf. But I am going to have to read the first one again since I read it a long time ago and would like to refresh my memory. But I am looking forward to reading it. I am reading Lover Eternal right now and Pride Mates is going to be my next one to read.

Oh yeah! I'm a fan of the werewolves, so even though Salvatore is a pompeous jerk in most of the books, I still love him! haha! Second would def be Styx so far. Almost done this one, so almost on to #7! :D

You're gonna love the Outlander series. Diana Gabaldon is such an amazing author! All books in the series are really long but they're worth every second you spend reading them. I rarely purchase books in hardback unless they're exceptional. The Outlander series is actually the first series I ever bought in hardback, they were worth every penny too!

Sillylittlefishey | 1025 comments I finished Interview With the Vampire (The Vampire Chronicles, #1) by Anne Rice ..it was hard for me to get into but it did have points that interested me but it never maintained to hold my interest...I think the way it was written in the narrative instead of like it was actually happening was part of the problem for me.

Now I'm reading an ARC of Seduce Me in Dreams (A Three Worlds Novel, #1) by Jacquelyn Frank that's due out March 22...so far it's ok...but I'm only 2 chapters in.

Shawn | 375 comments Almost finished with Kiss of the Highlander (Highlander, #4) by Karen Marie Moning then The Immortal Highlander (Highlander, #6) by Karen Marie Moning I hate it when I read out of order. I started this series several months ago and was frustrated that I read out of order so I put them off into the TBR pile; with all the rave reviews of her fae series I decided to finish this and move on to Outlander (since I already bought it) then get on to the fae series. I'm excited I can't wait.

But you get a mix of vamps and were's and a HEA at the end of each book so I consider them feel good comfort reads :) Hope that helps ya...

Hi Keri, I'm seriously consider buying this series too. Have you read Lord of the Fading Lands (Tairen Soul, #1) by C.L. Wilson ?

OMG, it's a must must must read AND I'm so thankful to have GR friends recommending it. What's so good about it? everything...the hero is the fiercest & powerful, the heroine is the most purest & compassionate, the vilant is just pure unholy & scary, and the rest of the characters are as enriched and colorful as any background of a masterpiece. Then there are the twins little sisters who keeps the story light-hearted and innocent. My yearning to read is filled with hope, sweet endearing lovestory that is underlined with black-magic choking in my throat. Gotta go...

I just finished [bookcover:The Name of the Wind|186074] the other day. I was really impressed with the length of the book on my kindle. But geez, it's barely anything compared to the length of the 2nd book: The Wise Man's Fear (The Kingkiller Chronicle, #2) by Patrick Rothfuss . But I love the pace of the book and how it's not rushed.

The books are fantastic; I can believe you waited years for the 2nd book.I just don't want to do it myself lol. But I'm afraid I'm in the same boat waiting for book #3 now.
