Have you picked your next read? I might be the only one on this, but I'd Beyond the Highland Mist (Highlander, #1) by Karen Marie Moning bc it's Moning's... simple, sweet and amazing plots. That being said, BDB is my top 2 favorite series. It's hard core so once you've read BDB, you won't find another AND speaking of withdrawal. I was in limbo after Rhev's book.

Lucky you, still waiting for my book from the library. It's ok though bc I have Archangel's Consort (Guild Hunter, #3) by Nalini Singh , woohoo. I wonder if I need to reserve Destined for an Early Grave (Night Huntress, #4) by Jeaniene Frost since it's been awhile for me too.

message 11307: by Crazy4more (new)

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments So glad it was 3-day weekend last week. I really got to hide out in my cave! read to the wee hours, slept in and didn't bother the world until A Breath of Snow and Ashes (Outlander, #6) by Diana Gabaldon was done! OMG, another amazing book. I remembered tears, laughters, OMG's, WTF's and so many Awww's. I really think this will be the first series receiving all 5 stars from me. I'm thinking holding off An Echo in the Bone (Outlander, #7) by Diana Gabaldon until next year-end due its cliff-hanger.

Next, I've been waiting for this Archangel's Consort (Guild Hunter, #3) by Nalini Singh

I'm halfway through Secret Vampire by LJ Smith. It's kind of cutesy...but it seems like maybe the target audience is a bit younger? It reminds me of a younger version of sookie.

I discovered Moning from Fever first. While waiting for SHADOWFEVER, I went ahead and read the rest of her work. I'd read everything coming out of that woman! I love her Highlander series and hope you'll like it to. It's Moning...you can't go wrong, right?

What I really like about this series is how 'raw' Jack is. He's a heroin addict, comes from a broken home, one of the foulest mouths I've had the luxury of reading, and is probably one of the biggest 'posers'....but I really like him!... As you get to 'know' him and understand where he's coming from, and the motives and intentions behind his actions ..he's a rather likable guy...that being said, I have a thing for broken, dark Alpha boys!

Exactly!! I can't remember ever laughing out loud at a book before...I couldn't help myself when Steph told Joe that he only broke his leg because he panicked and tripped over his own feet!! There were a few other spots as well...but that one really sticks out in my mind.

I finished that one and am a little sad that I have no idea when I'm going to get to the 2nd one...so many books to read...so little time.
