lindsay, it's a pretty good book. i like the character and relationship development. it's historical with a bit of the fantasy/faerie genre. the plot is pretty good and the love scenes are of course steamy =) there's some secrecy between the main characters and some from the side characters which is pretty interesting. and there's a cute relationship between the female lead and her kid sister. i think u'll like it. have fun.
oh, have u read any Megan Hart novels? her's are really good cause they have more real life situations and they're contemporary. the one i really loved was Dirty.

message 11182: by Alisa (new)

Alisa (alisakayco) | 110 comments I just finished the first 8 of The Hollows series by Kim Harrison. I'm impatiently waiting for book #9 to be released on the 22nd. For now, I'm reading the short stories included with the series. I always manage to skip them and read them all at the end of a series.

I'm also currently reading A Brush of Darkness by Allison Pang right now. It's okay so far. It's not bad, but it's not as good as The Hollows and I keep comparing the two lol. I guess I'm just too antsy to get Hollows #9 right now. But I think it's still a good story/read.

Lindsay (lag28wa) | 46 comments See and I think Fantasy Lover (Dark-Hunter, #0.5 Prequel) by Sherrilyn Kenyon is a poor indication of the series overall. I would almost recommend skipping Fantasy Lover, her writing grows up a lot and isn't quite so cutesy as the series goes on. Plus I don't think it's really essential to the series development at all. You really don't get a feel for what it's about and get to know/love some of the characters until book 3 or 4. like the 13th book or so I was finishing a book every two days!

You know I tried to read a straight romance book and I also read a non ficion book too. It was ok the non fiction was better than the fiction. But here is the thing I look at reading as my personnel vacation. I like escaping with PNR. It is just plain fun
