I'm currently 47% through the audio on The Fiery Cross (Outlander, #5) by Diana Gabaldon as well. And yes, I feel like I have a harder time remembering things that happened (especially names!) than when reading, but the audiobook allows me to savor it a little more and not be able to skim (and miss stuff!) than if I was reading the hard copy.

Amy (amescat) | 279 comments I've listened to all of the Outlander series on audio. I like the audio because it allows me to multi-task (drive - run reports - ect) while listening

Nita (gillnit) Started Seducing the Vampire by Michele Hauf yesterday. Enjoying it, but also started Lust by Charlotte Featherstone . I couldn't resist; it was sent to my Nook today and I love this author.

The second half moves a lot faster. There were so many candid dialogs btwn J&C and B&R in TFC that it had brought me to tears, especially remembering how much pain Jamie had endured.

Yes, I remember the good old days of reading and crazy for BDB...still am, just don't have time to re-read, yet.

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments Yipee, I did it again! 1 hr on the elliptical (5.2 miles), thanks to Roarke & Eve, again. How can you not lost track of pain and suffering when your book starts with this crime in Vengeance in Death (In Death, #6) by J.D. Robb ?

"His feet had been severed--one hand gone at the wrist. He was still alive when his right eye was cut out. That was the only piece of him we didn't recover at the scene."

message 10909: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (imahoodieninja) | 170 comments I really like the In Death Series. Funny thing is I never read them in order. I've just read random ones and still loved every minute of them. JD Robb or should I say Nora Roberts, is an amazing author.

message 10910: by Crazy4more (new)

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments I like to read them in order bc I'm obssessed with Roarke and Eve's impossible dream life, sighs... plus I found that such strong characters keep me running on the treadmill/elliptical, lol. I did peeked in the latest book for Roarke's name, the day I drop this series is the day I find out Roarke's gone!

Its true that the Fever series doesn't have the same kind of romance as the Highlander series (haven't read Highlander yet), but there is still definitely romance there. There is a love/hate relationship that will drive you crazy (in a good way!!!) throughout the books. I love the series - it is by far one of my favorites! All I have to say is be prepared to have the next one ready because KMM loves her crazy cliffhangers!

message 10921: by Juana "Darkness" (new)

I'm so engrossed with OUTLANDER series, it's scary. It's so beautifully written that I'm just drawn to its long lengthy literature. Now, I'm reading 1 other book along with OUTLANDER so than I can break the rhythm so I can function...like change and get out of the house for grocery, school bus stops, the gym, etc.

I have been going from one series to the next. I am hooked on Psy-Changeling. I want to get back to Outlander but I had to mix it up a bit. I agree. I love Diana's writing.

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments Pansy, I noticed you're reading Psy too. I really really want to make time to read it but I can't enough of anything highlander. Thank goodness for Roarke keeping me balance with my other interest. I had Barrons last couple weeks and hoping Raphael (GH) will present himself soon, lol.

Alexandra, I love LOTU. I'll get better, but I think Midnight Breed series had higher ratings for me...but it does get better.

message 10943: by Brandee (new)

message 10945: by ALM188 (new)

ALM188 Midnight Breed is really good! The first book takes some getting used to as it is similar yet different than BDB. But definitely worth the read. I ended up adding it to my collection!
