I couldn't make it past the first chapter of Witchling. Doesn't the heroine talk about her bra size or something? That kind of stuff in first person narration makes me twitch. I mean, who walks around mentally monologuing about her stiletto pumps and double d breasts? Ugh.

I'm reading The Duke & the Pirate Queen which isn't PNR and isn't exactly fantasy romance, but it's set in a created world that's very nicely done, and holy crap, the love scenes are smoking hot.

Welcome to the group, Ursula. Its great fun.

I didn't care for Cian's book, it was decent, I just didn't care for him as much as the other male characters. I also didn't like the mirror aspect. But you might love it, everyone is different. :)

I loved this series Amy - gets better each book.

What did you think about Wicked? I have it on my list to read and wanted an opinion on it.

Samantha, it was a very slow start and there are lots of characters to keep track of. It did get better as the story evolved and there is some sacrificing of animals but it doesn't get too graphic. The author does skip around in the beginning and it does get confusing but once you get used to that and the gaps in time the story is good. I'm not sure that I want to continue the series...only time will tell.

I took a break from writing for a couple of nights and picked up The immortal Highlander about two weeks back. This was a good book. I personally loved it, and yes, Adam Black is the total immortal buffet of manliness! *droolz* Will have to revisit this one again.

Ah, I've been waiting for the release of this book for so long, and now it's finally mine. It's definitely one of the best in the series, and for me it's my joint favourite (the second one being the other favourite). Anyway, happy new year everyone! :)

I have just finished

And I have just started

What's your first impression of
The Iron King?, it's one of those books that I've wanted to read for ages but another book always seems to take priority. :)

I feel the same way!! I love the BDB so much that I think I love them more than the Sookie books. I never thought that would happen. I have read and reread the BDB books so many times that it's almost embarrassing. LOL Enjoy!!

I am EXTREMELY biased when it comes to Adam Black so in my opinion none of the other Highlander books can touch The Immortal Highlander, but I do still like the other books. Adam's book is just my fav. ;)

I've just finished

I've joined so many challenges that I will have to read at least one book every 2 days to be in with a chance of completing them all!

I'm now reading

I just can't wait until the 18th and 25th for Moning's and Singh's releases!

Now reading

I'm reading the amazing series, Outlander,

I re-read the BDB a few times as well...I never thought I would like a series as much as Sookie either!! I was hooked after the second book!!

Don't give up on the series or judge it by the 1st book. I thought it was slow too, but trust me when I say the series gets better the further you get into it.

How do you like Siren Song? I found it really boring in the beginning, but LOVED it after Bruno's revelation, because while it was heart wrenching, it certainly did make things more interesting.

I totally agree started out slow then got really good I liked John Creede looking forward to see what happens in the next book.

Who do you prefer, Creede or Bruno? At first, I was all for Bruno even after what he did, but after Celia talked to her grandma about how Bruno still should have tried to make things work, I find I'm in complete agreement with her and Bruno needs to do something major to be with Celia again. And meanwhile, Creede isn't that bad of a substitute. ;)
