Lora Savchova (lorasavchova) | 313 comments Destined for an Early Grave (Night Huntress, #4) by Jeaniene Frost but left it for Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6) by Richelle Mead and it's beyond amazing so far! Both can't wait and don't wanna get to the ending. *sigh*

Amy (amescat) | 279 comments Crazy4more - That is exactly how I felt at the start of that book!!!! I'm on disk 31 right now and am holding my breath to see what happens.

message 10155: by Crazy4more (new)

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments Amy, wow, disk 31? I'm way way behind. I do love the relationship btwn Roger & Bree. I'm so not happy with Jamie and Claire separated and the fact that Jamie had died while Claire had to move on for Bree. 3 yrs with Jamie is NOT enough. The audio is nice while I cook and do laundry, but I still enjoy my reading on my down-time.

I feel exactly the same way! I'm up to page 488 so just over 100 pages to go and I am both eager to keep reading but also want to take my time and savour every last moment of Vampire Academy!! *BIG sigh*

I bought the book at my local indy bookseller. The blurb was interesting, and I'm so glad I bought it. The world building is good-different and interesting. This is the first of three books (I think). The second book is
The Shattered Sylph, and I plan to buy that tomorrow at Borders when I go to buy a book for my son.

Keri | 158 comments They just opened a thread for everyone to nominate the author of the month for Jan. I nominated Diana Gabaldon. Voting begins in a week. Wanted to let everyone know in case you wanted to vote for her to get it. ;) The link is below for the thread in case you want to nominate someone else.

message 10160: by Martin (new)

Martin Sharlow | 9 comments I'm currently reading House of Immortal pleasures. That is when I have the time. I swear I have so many writing goals going that I never seem to have the time to read.

I'm stuck in Knife of Dreams. Use to be one of my favorite series, but I'm just bored with it. I'm also suppose to be reading Twilight. Honestly I hate Bella. She so abuses everyone that I'm having trouble reading the book. I keep waiting for her to redeem herself in my eye's, and hopefully she will since it is the first book still. I think watching the movies first has made it harder for me to read them.

message 10161: by Amy (new)

Amy (amescat) | 279 comments I just finished Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander, #2) by Diana Gabaldon on audio. 4 1/2 * great great follow up to Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon . While I wait for the library to get Voyager (Outlander, #3) by Diana Gabaldon on audio for me

I've started High Noon by Nora Roberts on Audio and I'm currently about 1/2 finished with What A Dragon Should Know (Dragon Kin, #3) by G.A. Aiken

Jen ~The dreamer~ | 649 comments Martin, I hated Bella too...Through the whole series I wanted her to disappear...

Denise Nanna | 1321 comments Really enjoyed Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6) by Richelle Mead and sad the series is finished. It put me in the mood to reread Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost
Wish we could talk about Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6) by Richelle Mead here without spoiling it for others.

What didn't you like about LS? I loved it, but I'm open to other opinions.

And I'm sure you won't be disappointed with NH#4. Anything with Bones is a good story in my book. <3

Nita (gillnit) I finished Taken by Midnight (Midnight Breed, #8) by Lara Adrian last night. I like Brock a lot.

Now reading Poison Kissed (Shadowfae Chronicles, #3) by Erica Hayes . This is definitely a darker paranormal romance series, but I enjoyed the first two books.

Andrea | 69 comments Lazuline - read my review if you want to know! Don't want to spoil it for anyone on here :)
I didn't not like the book, there were just a couple of things that annoyed me. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the last 100 pages or so!
I agree, anything with Bones has to be good!! ;)

The series is definitely worth it. The books get better and better.
It reads similarly to the Black Dagger Brotherhood series written by J.R. Ward, but they are an elite vampire breed instead of fallen Greek warriors housing the demons. If you like Darkest Night, you'll like the Black Dagger Brotherhood.
