Bone's in the ]

I have read the Mortal Instruments series and just talked to a friend who has read the Clockwork Angel book and said you don't need to have read the other series.

I really liked Graceling and her second book FIRE was awesome too. They are stand lone books and don't really connect to each other.

I have read others in the series and I think they get better. I wasn't really into the first one. Too many references that were not explained about the culture.

I might get though Barely Bewitched first, as that one is a bit more light-hearted. I like the characters in this series..all of them. It takes place in a small town in Texas and the main character is a witch who has dormant powers. She's also a pastry chef, which I love because I like to bake, too. She starts to tap into her power, whether she wants to or not, and a bunch of shenanigans occur as a result..because they always do. There's a bit of a love triangle between her ex-husband and the the wizard who volunteers to help her with her powers. It's a pretty cute story, all in all.

it was ok I liked it enough to keep reading the series, but I have read better books, but I also have read books worse than it.

I was up much to late reading and can't wait to be done with work and dinner with my in-laws so I can snuggle up on my couch and read some more.
*Or, maybe it is considered urban fantasy, but either way...

In the middle of Ghost Town by Rachel Caine, Love this series for the light hearted quick read and the humor.
I also bought Torment by Lauren Kate, Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare, and Towers of Midnight by Jordan/Sanderson.
This is my reading list for the first half of the month.

Oh I enjoyed that book! I can't wait until the 2nd one comes out.

Hey Denise - are you liking the Kate Daniels' series?"
Yes, I like it. It is a lot of action but not a lot or romance yet. I think it is coming though.

It's a slow and subtle fantasy story with a very rich historical backstory. I was surprised by how much I loved it, but read through the night almost without noticing. Highly recommended.

I am still reading it, man there is a lot in this book geesh. lol
