I liked the Accidental Vampire. There were several times it made me laugh out loud.

I am 50 pages in and finding it hard to put down.

I also just finished

I don't know what to read now. I think I need a brown or yellow book for the Oct challenge. I was thinking about moving onto Dane, even though it's the middle of a series.
@Rebecca, I loooved Spirit Bound and can't wait for the conclusion of the VA series. I also thought Accidental Vampire was pretty good, but Sands is one of my more favorite PNR authors.

How hot do you like your paranormal romance? Have you read any Emma Holly? I just happened to notice that the cover of Demon's
Fire that I listed was a sort of brown/yellow! :) But she's pretty smoking and that might not be your cup of joe. Also, I noticed that some people are uncomfortable with her alternative history Victorian era for the Demon series. But I thought I'd throw it out there.

ETA: I noticed it was 6 in a series. Do you think it works as a stand alone well enough? THat's the problem I've been having. All the brown and yellow books are never #1 in a series.

Actually, of those listed, only three are full books; Demon's Daughter, Prince of Ice and this one. The others are short stories. I've read one but not the others of the short stories. The one I read was tangential. However, as I think about it, I'm not sure I'd read Demon's Fire without reading the other two books. Not that I think you couldn't figure out "the world", but because you'd lose a lot of the character tension and development.
Sorry!
On the other hand, this is one of my favorite series if you like erotic romance. I highly recommend it if you like unusual and complex characters with wonderful romances. She knows her history and she can world-build... but she writes off-beat relationships. I love them but I've seen reviews where it was clear that the reviewer didn't see it the same way. She is in my top ten erotic romance writers list.

So glad you like the book! I LOVED the series, couldn't put them down either. Hate to admit it but am struggling to MAKE myself focus on my college reading material instead of starting a new series...although I did just start a the Dark series by Christine Feehan....not bad, no LOL parts y

I liked the Blue Bloods series! I'm on book 5. Well, I didn't read it, but I will soon(:

Ive read all the books thats out now, an..."
Wow, this series is just depressing then.

Good to know I'm not the only one having trouble focusing on college reading. ;)

Well who knows, maybe I will start the series. She actually has one of the novellas in the Anthology I'm reading for pink.

Oh, heavens. I'd forgotten that I set it up that way last year before I really had hung out here enough to get it. I'll see if I can fix that! I'm still not as conversant with the user interface here as I'd like either. It doesn't work the way I think a lot of the time... I'll try to friend you too. Anyway, it would be cool if you'd try the series and let me know what you think.

The Dragon Kin series is by G. A. Aiken (who is actually the author Shelly Laurenston, Aiken is her pen name). I HIGHLY recommend the series along with her other two series the Magnus Pack series and her Pride series. Both of these also really made me LOL. She's a GREAT author. I give all 3 series 5 stars!

you will like this book i found this one kept me glued to it......let me know what you think of it.

Just finished Styx's Storm. I was afraid to read it also. Let me know what you think when you finish.

Up next I'll probably read Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between by J.A. Saare while I wait to get the next book in the Chicagoland series which I ordered on amazon today. J.A. Saare is another good supernatural author. I loved her book Crimson Moon.

Moving onto
