The Dragon Kin series are great! One of the few series that actually made me laugh out loud when I read them, really laugh, not just giggle

Ahhh.... spending all day in bed reading sounds like heaven, unless you were sick. I don't get to do that anymore even when I AM sick! :-)

I like that series.

message 9165: by Lori (new)

Lori | 5 comments I finished Seanan McGuire's 'An Artificial Night' this weekend - am loving this series! Currently reading Kelley Armstrong's 'Waking the Witch'; it has turned out to be a much better story than what I expected. Savannah Levine has not been a character that I've thought much of, but she has matured and this story makes her admirable and sympathetic.

It was ok. Luce is a bit of a whiner and makes some interesting choices. If you read Fallen, you might want to know what happens next. There is a cliffhanger at the end.

I can't help but compare these to Brenda Joyce's Dark Rival (Masters of Time, #2) by Brenda Joyce and thought her storyplots were more intricate, HEA's were endearing, heroines were smart, strong, witty. Just a quick shoutout for MOT.

Yeah, I was going to comment on Heart of Darkness, but didn't want you to NOT read it. I mean, I read it for the LOTU story, which I liked. The other two were good for me, but not so great that I'd seek out writings from the other authors. I was entertained, but not as much as LOTU.

message 9186: by Samantha (last edited Oct 05, 2010 10:35AM) (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) Yeah I read it for that reason too...the others were ho-hum wont be seeking others from them either...however I did enjoy Love me to death but yeah probably won't read anymore of her stuff.
