@Suzanne, I thought Eternal Kiss of Darkness was much better than First Drop of Crimson. I hated to see Mencheres book end, it was great all the way through.

Suzanne, definitely a must read, in fact, I'm having a hard time returning it to the library bc I want to read it again. So much better than Spade's book, sorry. I love Spade and was really looking forward for his book but it came up a little short for me. Mencheres' book was more detailed and interesting plotting. You won't regret it.

Oh it took me AGES to find the new publication of Blood Noir. Ended up getting it through the "Booktopia" website... but have also seen it advertised now on "Book Depository" webiste.. and I think "Borders" have it on their website now as well....

Thanks Jen & Crazy4more, I did like Spade's book, I was a little disappointed in it as Denise and Spade just didn't have the same spark that Cat and Bones had, I am glad the Mencheres book is better.

I'm soooo enjoying The Darkest Lie. I thought it would be dificult bc I had to cut out the negative words, but before you know, it became second nature. So far the plot is very good and so glad to get my fix of Aeron, Oliva, Amun and William. I'm pulling an all nighter for this one.

I struggled with a first read of swallowing darkness which seems to be her last book!! think I should of the very first book LKH did of the merry gentry so I struggled most of it Debs

Well, I couldn't pull an all nighter for Darkest Lie, but it's such a good book. Thoroughly enjoying the book and didn't want to rush thru it. Midway done and totally confussed if it's all a LIE or not...pun intented! can't wait to find out the truth from Lie.

i feel ur pain Amy. i was in the same boat last year. i've actually applied for a nursing program and am waiting to see if i'll be starting in January. all the best in school this year. i hope u do find some time to feed ur passion. hehe =)

I will start . I enjoyed Ms.Dodd's Darkness Chosen series and hated when it ended. It's been awhile since I read her last book, hope I can attach the connection to the Chosen Ones series.

I have really enjoyed listening to some books mostly while I'm driving or cleaning house.Some books are better than others it depends on how good the Narrator is they usually change their voice for each character so it can be good or bad depending on the Narrator.one of my fav series to listen to is J.D Robb's In Death series the Narrator is Fantastic.It's a great way to get through more books and I realize I enjoy driving alot more ;)

Loved it! I was expecting more at the end though. Especially how it was somewhat abruptly cut off. Lol as easas it would seem to assume what happened after the last chapter, an epilogue would've been nice to read.
One of my favorite 'visuals' is seeing Mencheres in a bubble bath! That ladies (and gentlemen) was frickin' adorable and utterly amazing. - among other scenes in the book.

After reading this book, I would really like to get Vlad an HEA!

But for now I'll be reading:

Possibly only Cat & Bones' story since im not familiar with the other stories and to fufill my Cat & Bones' craving...until the next book! GAH! Let the torture begin!

I was digging around in one of my book stashes (actually I was looking for some yarn in one of my yarn stashes and got distracted), and I found Rose Daughter by Robin McKinley which I must have bought several years ago and never got around to reading. I finished it last night and really enjoyed it, but then I always enjoy a good "Beauty and the Beast" story.

PC Cast HAs a Goddess series it is old Goddes of the Rose It is a twist on it too. I liked it More Romance than PNR

I read a couple chapters of last night. I'm trying to finish it so I can get back to a PNR book. I have and to read. Also I found at a used book store for $3.95 so I need to get book one and start that series and cannot wait to do that!
