message 8405: by Pansy (new)

Pansy | 740 comments I just finished reading Halfway to the Grave by Frost. This book was so good that I cannot wait to read the rest of the series. I had heard so many great things about this series and now I know why. It was funny, action packed, sexy and fast paced. I finished in two days and started the next one right away.
Cat and Bones are a great couple. One of my top five of all the books I have read. Cat is by far the best, kick-ass heroine yet. I love that there was more than one book about them because most books focus on one character and you never here about them again. I am going to enjoy reading the rest of the series.

Jen ~The dreamer~ | 649 comments Pansy, I agree!! I LOVE CAT and BONES! They are in my top 5 favorite series for sure....maybe top 2 ;)

Silvia, I just finished HG & I thought it was really good. It's alot more action-packed than Cry Wolf but it does have a few slow parts.

Chelsea (vampirebookclub) | 89 comments Denise wrote: "Can anyone tell me if Unholy Magic gets better than Unholy Ghosts?

Now reading Some Girls Bite."

Yes! The Downside Ghosts series gets better with each novel. In the Unholy Magic you'll start to see a love triangle come into play, which amps up the intensity.

message 8409: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea (vampirebookclub) | 89 comments Trying to read Manifest (Mystyx, #1) by Artist Arthur but am having a really hard time getting into it. I set it aside last night and moved on to reading Catching Fire (Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins (which is, of course, amazing) in preparation for the release of Mockingjay later this month.

...then it's back to some good PNR, I think!

message 8410: by Irene (new)

Irene Hollimon | 182 comments I'm thinking about starting Unholy Ghosts next. I like a good love triangle.

I'm reading Chicagoland Vampires right now and I love it. But as soon as they got together, I could see a break up was imminent. There was still 200 pages left to the book. If they were going to ride off into the sunset, the book would have ended there.

You'll have to read the Night Huntress World books until her new Cat/Bones book comes out next year!! I'm counting down the months!! I'm having withdrawl!

message 8423: by Kauthar (new)

Kauthar (music_books) | 1 comments I am currently reading Cry Wolf by Patricia Briggs. Patricia Briggs is amazing, her series Mercy Thompson is one of my favorites so I had to check out the sister series...Cry Wolf. It basically just goes into the story of one of the wolves in the Mercy Thompson series. How Anna (the wolf) becomes one and how she deals with the new world she entered when she survived an attack from a wolf. She meets this guy Charles Cornick who's the son of a pack leader. And it's just amazing. Can't wait to get finished with it and move on to the next book that's out already. :)

Irene Hollimon | 182 comments I just finished Twice Bitten (Chicagoland Vampires, #3) by Chloe Neill

I agree about Undead and Unfinished. I really disliked the Epilogue to this book. There will be a 9th book coming out it in July of next year that will hopefully change that.

message 8429: by Dija (new)

Dija Currently reading Succubus Heat (Georgina Kincaid, #4) by Richelle Mead and I thought I couldn't hate Seth more at the end of the previous book, but I was definitely wrong. And despite the fact the main male character is a moron, I still am really enjoying this book. Mead's such a fantastic writer.

Irene Hollimon | 182 comments Budletsmom wrote: "Question how do you include a picture of the book in your post?"

At the top of the box you see add book/author in light brown?
Click on that
type in the book title
Click on the search button
Find your title in the window
at the bottom of the window it has an option for either the title or the cover
the title option is automatically selected so you have to click on the cover button
click on the cover button on the bottom of the window
click on the add button next your title and Poof! magic!

It's useful because it allows others to click on the book you talked about and get a description of it

and also you see the column at the side of this window that says Books mention in this topic? That's how that list is created.
