Unfortunately not, the second does not get better. The author keeps making Ever make stupid decisions to keep the story going. I dont know how many times I said, "Really?" while reading it.

The format to how they are written is strange as they are set up by day and time but once you start reading them it will make sense. The story is good kinda cheesy at times but it based in high school and we all remember how corny we were then. LOL. I was a little hesitent after reading WAKE but FADE turned out to be pretty good so now I am looking forward to GONE. Its not at the top of my favorites list but it did make the list.

Yeah, it is. The ending was so so cute and the situation with Wellsie was really unexpected and tragic. The first two books were okay, not really that good because I wasn't insane for either Wrath or Beth in the first book and Rhage was amazing but Mary was annoying in the second one, so I don't think the series really got worthy of noticing until this book.

Currently reading Succubus on Top (Georgina Kincaid, #2) by Richelle Mead Must catch up with this series before the last book is released... x_x

Stephanie | 1 comments I just finished the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward and I really liked them. I have also read Sherriyn Kenyon's books and have enjoyed them.

Can anyone recommend another series that is worth reading?

I'm not opposed to "stand alone books" but I often find myself not wanting a story to end, that's why I like those that are part of a series...

I'd say you shouldn't stop. I adore the books and love the way they're developing. Many people don't like the way Laurell took the story but I think it's a personal thing. So, if you like it, I highly recommend you get to Bullet as fast as you can.
