Charlotte (Buried in Books) | 386 comments I'm 2/3's of the way through The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella. I had to buy it, I couldn't help it - it was half price.

So far it's OK - I thought newborns were supposed to be mega dangerous - this lot seem pretty tame.

Yah I love being able to go online and order too but I read so much I usually need to go in and find something while I wait for it to come in.

Yeah it's hard to go from one writing style to another or mix and match them...this is why I usually will read something else before hopping back to these authors. But I've been trying to read Night Play for some time now a month to be exact and just haven't quite gotten back to it, not that I don't want to read it. But I ended up reading Dead in the family which that took forever, and now reading Lover Mine because I am tired of not being in the conversation on my website when they talk about this book. LOL!

I am reading Lifeblood. I also have out 4 library books. I am hoping to find another good series here that I can start on until Charlaine Harris writes another one. I also heard that Stephenie Meyer is bringing one out about Bree the little vampire who was killed. I was so sad for her.

Heather (sparkleyturtle) | 151 comments Gah! I just finished Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy, #3) by Richelle Mead and just figured out I read the books out of order. I thought I had just forgotten things since the last time I read the series, but no! there was a whole book I missed. I knew I should have looked up the orders online before reading. So now I am going to read Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2) by Richelle Mead . Need to get through it so I can continue on with #4.

Loving this series.

Alice, you'll probably like The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella. I was a little bit disappointed with it. But it's a very quick read - only 180ish pages. I finished it in one go.

I really liked Shannon Butcher's books. Jacquelyn Frank is one of those hit or miss authors for me. I loved

Jacob (Nightwalkers, #1) by Jacquelyn Frank then I thought the series went downhill. I enjoyed Ecstasy (Shadowdwellers, #1) by Jacquelyn Frank then again I thought the series went downhill. I read Hunting Julian (The Gatherers, #1) by Jacquelyn Frank which was OK and Stealing Kathryn (The Gatherers, #2) by Jacquelyn Frank which I thought was disjointed and strange. She's become a one book author for me. From now on when she writes a new series I'll buy the first book after that I'll go by the reviews.

message 7450: by Nita (last edited Jun 07, 2010 01:31PM) (new)

Nita (gillnit) @Mari- I agree on Jacquelyn Frank, she is definitely a hit or miss author. I liked some of the Nightwalker books more than others. Liked the first two in the Shadowdwellers series quite a bit, but was disappointed in the third. Thought Hunting Julian was ok, but actually really liked Stealing Kathryn. I usually get her books from the library, since she is so hit or miss.
