I think the Hunger Games is a really great book! It's YA, but has a great message and good action in it. I haven't been able to pick up the next in the series yet bcs apparently it leaves on a cliffhanger, but am excited to read it once the last is released.

It's got a great build-up to it!
But going back to the Ash obsession...I use to have one too, until we actually got his book and then I was disappointed. It seemed very anticlimatic to me.

Hi Angela, I just placed the lords of the underworld series into my TBR lost. Is this series really any good? I haven't seen to much hype about it so am a little put off.

I've just finished "Bitten" by Kelley Armstrong, "City of Bones" by Cassandra Clare and "Stormborn" by Richelle Mead, the author of Vampire Academy. Wonderful books, especially the last one, I'd dare say ^^ Right now I've tossed myself head first into "Eragon" by Christopher Paolini(I've read the series twice, but don't remember half of it, so decided to start at book one again), "Untamed" by P.C. and Kristen Cast and "Frostbite" by Richelle Mead ^^

So you like Rachel MEad? I have heardalot of Bitten was it great?

To be honest, I gave up and decided to shelve it for now. The character don't really get flushed out ..."
I agree when you are reading desciption is all you have. It's not like you can use your imagination. I also can't stand it whenthe other opens the door to an intamate scence and then in one line it's done ot they skip it and go to the next scene. WHAT IS THE POINT

One i actually know "To Be Read"
I didn't like the lords of the underworld either and really didn't understand why some are giving it rave reviews. It took me forever to get through the 1st book.

Ok so is this the first Book from her that you read? I haven't read anything from her.

*Possible Spoilers for those that haven't read it*
When Rhage tells Mary he can't have sex with her, then goes off to do it with a stranger. When he comes back, she knows what happened. They fight, then they have sex. Whole thing just really bothered me. Didn't understand how one moment he couldn't be with her, then he could because he was "sated". And I understand about the beast, but it didn't sit well with me, then they have sex, and she feels bad about using him?? I just hate cheating scenes in a romance novel.
To Robin: Yeah, I like Richelle Mead a lot ^^ Haven't started on her other series, Succubus Blues, bot when I can afford it I'll order the first book from UK (You can't buy the great books in DK ==')
And yes, Bitten is great. I thought it was a little slow to begin with, but I quickly got out of that (: Awesome story

Just got this from the library, I finished Iron Kissed a few days ago and can't wait to read this.

Now reading

Where do you live DK?
Would you say that these books are more dark and lustful or is there a anotherstoryline that makes it good. I only ask this since books From kenyon I thought lacked character development.

Ok I have to look tks

That is a great series I loved it.

Is it a good series? I just got the first book. And my friend got the Acheron book for me. I decided to start from the beginning.

Is it funny with bantor or dark and a little scarey?

I live in Denmark, in the second biggest city in the country, Århus. Oh, well.. Let me say that the characters of Stormborn are very veldeveloped. They have lots of unique traits and stand out in the crowd without being too Mary Sue and special in the annyoing way. I think you should give the book a change, you won't regret it (I certainly hope so.. I didn't ^^). The storyline's great and origional, the writing style enchanting and of course all the erotica, under - and otherworldly creatures and funny idea just a plus.
Of course I don't know how Succubus series is yet, but I've got it recommended from a good friend who says it's worth giving a try.

I know this wasn't directed at me, but I wanted to respond. I love this series. If you have Fantasy Lover, know that this one technically starts the series, but it isn't a dark hunter book. I would read them in order, but you don't really have to with the early ones. The later ones definitely make more sense because of backstory if you read the early ones. I would NOT start with Acheron. Since he is in most of the books, it helps to read the other ones to get more of a feel for him. Acheron is a powerful, and often disturbing, book. Different from her other Dark Hunter novels. It is my favorite though. Oh, and break out the kleenex when reading it. I cried for days! LOL

Ok I have to look tks"
your welcome :)

Jbongiorno: Definitely read the series from the beginning! I was a tad impatient because I wanted to get to Acheron's story but it's TOTALLY worth it! & then re-read Dark Side of the Moon because it might make more sense! It was a lighter one then the others, but I liked it nonetheless.
Nicole: I definitely know what you mean, I wanted him for myself too! But I agree with Leah, Tory is a perfect match, they had me smiling at the end!

I do apparently need to re-read teh Dark Side of the Moon in light of this new DH book No Mercy, though.

THat sounds cool tell me again the name of the series I can't find it on the thread. Sorry I haven't read Succubus I am reading JR Ward Black Dagger Brotherhood Ireally like it I read Book over the weekend Can't wait for book 3

Harper, Carter was my favorite character, too! As much as I love the other characters, he was just the best, IMO.

Jesslynn, the only thing I have to say is that Acheron really is that sweet, self-conscious person. He puts on that bad boy persona that no one will guess that he has insecurities and try to get at his horrific and embarrassing past. If you don't like Tory, though, that's your prerogative. Personally, I love her, but hey, that's just my opinion!

Next up is Staked by J.F. Lewis. Then on to Lover Revealed for the ongoing series re-read over at the BDB group.

Oh thanks :) I've read really mixed reviews on it...but I'm hoping the bad reviews are just people who like different books :)But look forward to hearing what you thought :)

Oh thanks :) My mum found it back home and is sending it to me :) can't wait. Haven't found a new good book to read in a few weeks. All been sequels. :)

Sigh. I hated Tory. Thought she was an immature, whiny, judgemental, rude lil brat. And with her judgemental nature in particular, I failed to see how she could help him overcome his issues. And since then, he's lost the edge that helped him be an effective leader. It's not a bad-ass thing. It's a backbone thing.
So I shan't be throwing any punches. I might be too busy dodging a few myself.
The first half of the book though? Superb. I was absolutely enthralled. His history was all I hoped it would be.

AWWW! Thanks! I have a friend, or at least a person who thinks like me.
