I plan to start

Yeah me too, I'm anxiously waiting for Spade's story! I love Jeaniene's style of writing.

I swear the next morning my eyes were killing me lol.
Is the 4th book definitely the end?

haha i know right! & no she said it's 7 books. From what she's thinking so far. So we still have a way to go!

I was suggested this series by a friend. When I started reading Dark Lover, I got maybe into the second chapter and I just could not get into it. It sat on my book shelf unread for the longest time. I finally decided to give it another shot, and when I really let myself focus on the book I fell in love. I love Wrath and Beths story so much.
BUT! Not knowing anything about the series I bought Lover Eternal thinking it was another continuation of Dark Lover, picking up where it left off, not realizing that each book is about a different brothers story. And now I find myself in the same position with Lover Eternal.. Im hesitant about going on with the series...
So I guess what Im asking is, should I keep reading the series even though it isn't what I expected? Will I be dissappointed?

I loved the BDB! But I have picked up many books and felt the same way you do. My advice is to try 2 more and give them at least 75 pages each. By that point you will either be sucked in and really like them and know they just take a minute to get into for you or you will know it's just not for you. My BFF tried to read them but she really disliked them. We still debate about it.

BDB is a classic paranormal romance series. Meaning that each book is about 1 couple--they get their HEA, the book ends and it's on to the next couple. There is always a back story that links the books and couples from previous books might make a rare appearance, but generally are not part of the story once their book is over.
I loved the BDB series, but if you are looking for a series that truly continues the story, you should look at Urban Fantasy or Urban Fantasy Romance. I looked at your shelf and since you don't have your books rated with stars, I couldn't tell how you felt about the books you have read. But, since you finished the Sookie Stackhouse series, you must have liked it. Based on that, I would suggest that you check out the following books that are first in a series of UF or UFR...a few of my favorite series:
Halfway to the Grave--UFR
Storm Born--UFR
Full Moon Rising--UFR (fyi-lots of sex)
Moon Called--UF
Stray--UF
Mona Lisa Awakening--UFR (lots of sex so be forewarned)

Thank you so much! Yes I loved the Sookie series, Ive actually read through the series about 3 times now lol. I have loved each of the books on my list, and I love PNR. I will definitely try the UF/UFR choices you have suggested, and no worries. I live for the romance and sex! Thank you again

I love some good steamy sex too--I just like it most when there is a great story that goes along with the love making. These books I suggested have a good plot too...the bed room scenes are an added bonus ;-)

Heyy how are you finding them?

all this talk of the BDB series is making me wanna read them. They are good right? If so I'm gunna go get dark lover tomorrow

I have never read J Frost and my library doesn't have any of her books but I will try her soon. My main comment is how can you possibly take a break from "Catching Fire"?

I really like them.. the world building is pretty complex and can be confusing at times because there is time travel, but I'd still reccommend! Cassie is a clairvoyant and there are vamps, mages, fey, witches, ghosts, demons, gods, some weres.. and probably more. I'm hooked though. It reminds me a little of the Fever series as far as pace and action.

If you haven't started it yet I'd suggest doing so soon. I've read all 7 of the books and than went back and reread the first 2 a second time. Can't wait for the 8th to come out.

Sookie Stackhouse books are fun! The first book is a little slow, but it picks up. ALso I suggest BDB (JR Ward) Midnight Breed Series (Lara Adrian) and Chicagoland Vamp Series (Chloe Neill).

I agree I LOVE the BDB!

Yeah! I think she is my fave UF heroine, she cracks me up, especially her banter with Pritkin :D

A series with an almost identical story line is Adrian's series starting with Kiss of Midnight. If ur looking for some variation but still in the category of HOT PNR, u should check out the following series. I will list the 1st book in the series:

Omg really! I loved that series! & you go to the box comment and where it says "add book/author" you click it, and then it give you option of the link or cover, then you type in the book's name & clock add & BAM! lol but yeah...I love Bones! I hope you do too! Tell me what you think?

Definitely worth the read! Fast pace, exciting, magic, mystery suspense. Can't wait for Magic in the shadows to be released this year.

I really liked Ice too Amy. There are 2 other books I know of that are based on the Polar Bear King fairy tale, I have read East and really liked it, haven't read the other yet.
