Romulus didn't answer, for he knew it already. And he also knew he had done a deadly mistake. He was stuck.
((dunno.))Skye's blood gurgled on the floor, the cut in his flesh healing. "It's interesting, really." He said nonchalantly, walking forward. "You were supposed to inherit all the power in our family. You got the kingdom, I have the magic. I wonder which will prevail." Skye said, lifting his blade just high enough that it gleamed eerily in the dim light. "Now that Zelda's gone and unable to control me..." Skye said, his voice barely more than a whisper. "...I now finally have the ability to kill you." He laughed. "Insanity for all."

((I LOVE IT!))Romulus didn't answer. He just flung his sword forward, but missing. His attempts were in vain.
((IKR.))Skye smiled wider, laughing a little louder, his head tipping to the side. "You're afraid, aren't you? Just as you were, when you came to me to solve your problems with your friends! When we were children! You're still a child!" Skye laughed louder, his grin twisting.
((EXPLANATION: Zelda and Skye share the same pool of "Insanity" from living so long. It grows with each of their deaths, slightly. They split the insanity, and grow a tiny more resistant to it with each death. HOWEVER. If one of them dies while the other lives, the other must take the rest of the insanity that the other was carrying. Which is what Skye's going through D:))
((wow... that kinda sux for him...))Elektra backed away a little.
"SHUT UP!" Romulus cried, trying to stab Skye. But he tripped, and fell to the ground. ((KILL HIM! KILL HIM NOW SO I CAN HAVE ZELDA REBORN AND WE CAN DO A TIME LEAP!!))
((lol Ik :3))"Suit yourself." Skye grinned, then speared him to the ground with his sword, directly through the heart, the blood immediately starting to seep out. "Farewell, brother." He smiled, kneeling down by his brother's already empty body. "It's alright to come out now, little mouse." Skye said, referring to Elektra, who had backed up enough to hide in the shadows.
((sorry for playing her on short notice..))
She walked out and kicked him((the king, not skye)). "The basterd dead?"
Romulus smirked, and then died. ((Okay, I'll let you guys do one final post, and then the fun will begin...))

((LOL))"As dead as it's gonna get." Skye said, his voice back to normal. "Sorry if I scared you with the release..." He rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "It got some of it out... and fogged up my mind so I wouldn't freeze right before my chance."
She smiled. "It's fine." Corvin came to them."It really sucks that he died." Corvin said leaning a little so Valentine lightly fell off of his back.
((Okay, we are skipping....TEN YEARS!!! YES!!! Oh, btw, Coco isn't on right now...))Ten years later....
Ora skipped through the orphanage's garden, humming a rather dark tune to herself. She was five years old and already a tomboy. Her orphanage had a uniform, but since she was too small for the girl clothes, she had to wear the boy uniform, which was black dress pants, a white dress shirt with black bowtie, and a grey vest. But since she was a girl, she had the same outfit, but wore a black cloak over it, which sort of dragged behind her. Since the headmaster wouldn't allow the girls to cut their hair, she had her hair in cute, little pigtails at the top of her head. She wore black socks and blackish-brown small boots.
Ora was a very cute and adorable child, but at times, she'd get quiet, and look around as if she were really confused about where she was, or why people kept calling her Ora. Her name wasn't really Ora, it was Oracle Adlez. But for some reason, the name stuck.
As Ora skipped through the garden, she stopped, and sniffed the rose bush outside of the building. The building was large, and was actually said to have once been a castle to a king. But that was just a rumor. She turned and moved towards the gardenias but then paused. In the corner of her eye, she saw something sparkly. Something red. She quickly turned and ran towards the shiny thing, and dug it up, finding a dragon necklace. A silver chained necklace with a dark blood red dragon poised to attack that seemed to have been made from a carver bloodstone.
"Pretty...." She said, grinning. She put it on over her neck, hid it under her shirt, and then skipped through the garden once again, grinning happily with her new find.
((oo! awesome... mkay... how bout... okay, skye would be the king of Romulus's kingdom... and... if ur still doing ruby then she would be queen instead of zelda... rite?))"Yo, Corvin!" Elektra said.
"Hm..?" He said lazily getting up.
"Dinner's ready."
Skye mumbled something, head smushed into the pillows. "...Oracle..." He said, then pushed himself off the bed, waking up slowly. "Oracle Adlez..." He said again, then rubbed his eyes. "Elcaro Zelda.... Zelda!" He suddenly blurted out, his dream coming back to him in a flash. His king sized bed (which he absolutely despised) sat in the middle of the room, while Skye slept on a rather dingy couch. "Zelda..." He said. Looking down at his bracelet, it glowed deep purple. Touching it, it almost brought tears to his eyes again, but he quickly stopped himself. "She found it..."((Nah, Skye goes Solo. No Queenie for him. What is he now... 33? Still frikin young lmao!))
((no......He's like 27...))Ora danced through the halls of the orpphanage, humming a rather strange tune to herself. It was something she had just made up. "Are you...Are you...Coming to the tree? Where they strung up a man, they say murdered three..." She continued to sing this rather morbid, but happy tune as she danced past the older girls. She felt the warm necklace around her neck, and grinned happily. I finally have something to myself!! She giggled, and then did a quick cartwheel on the floor, landing right infront of the headmaster. She got up quickly, and stood up straight. "Oracle, reporting for duty!" She said, saluting the older woman.
The elderly woman grinned. "At ease, my little soldier..." She said, trying not to laugh. She's so cute...I can't believe how adorable she is!!
"Do you have any orders for--" Suddenly the warning bell was ringing. Something was happening outside. Something big and dangerous. The headmaster suddenly had Oracle in her arms, and was running down towards the attic of the orphanage, sending orders for everyone to follow them into the storm shelters and attics.
Oracle didn't know what was happening, only that her role-model was freaking out. She was about to ask what was happening, when she suddenly had that strange impulse. That...feeling that she needed to get out and away from there as soon as possible. Her hazel eyes turned a strange purple as she pushed and pulled herself from the arms of her Headmaster. She then turned and ran as fast as her little legs would allow her, dodging the other orphans and running out of their grasps as she tried to escape. Finally, she made it outside, and saw it, the dark things. The hazes she continued to see in her dreams, the things that would scare her awake.
"The bogeymen...." She whispered. She turned and ran to the only place she figured was a good hiding place: the forest.

((Bleh. Fine, I changed his age from 23 to 17. He ish now 27 ^^))Skye ran to his window, looking outside to the vast forest that hid his castle, while the top half was visible, it was unseen like a mirage from the outside of the barrier that he had put up a long time ago. "SYPHON!" He yelled, and was immediately responded with the roar of a large dragon.
A sudden gust of wind slapped Skye in the face, blowing his hair back, but he stood his ground. "Get a stable boy to get your saddle, meet you at the front gate. She's back." He yelled to him in Dragon tongue, and ran down the stairs, having slept in his clothes.
"Master, we cannot let you leave the premises!" One of the guards caught his arm as Skye was dashing by. "Let me go, I'm leaving anyways!" He struggled, yanking his arm out of the guard's grasp, not wanting to hurt him. "The shadows have been released with your Sister's finding of the pendant." The guard explained, trying to negotiate with the angsty King. "That only means she needs my help!" Skye replied quickly, and suddenly yanked again, freeing himself. "I'm sorry! I promise to bring both of us back safely!" He yelled back at the guard, then ran off, barefoot. Just as always.
And anyways, who said a king had to dress extravagantly?
Oracle ran through the forest, dodging tree after tree, and keeping herself silent as possible. She pulled the hood of the cloak over her head, to try and trick the bogey men, as she made her way deeper into the forest. But the evil things continued to follow her, addressing her as someone named "Zelda". "zeeelda.....zeeeeeeeeeelda.....COME BACK TO US."
"I'M NOT ZELDA! LEAVE ME ALONE!" Ora cried. She pushed her hands forward to try and guard herself, and the voices quickly turned into screams. Ora opened her eyes, and then saw the things running from her, fire dancing on them. "Wh....WHAT?!" She got up, and turned and ran as fast she could, getting even more lost in the forest.
((no i mean Queen of the kingdom that Zelda ruled over, would skye we king or would it be Ruby?))She smiled lovingly at him and tossed him some bacon. He tried to catch it in his mouth but it fell on the groun.
"Ow.."
"You're loosing it." She said smiling.
He shrugged. "Maybe I am..."
"I'm gonna see how Skye's doing." She waved her hand and the smoke showed her what he was doing. "What's he doing? C'mon, lets get over there."
"I don't want to flyy...." He whined. She got on top of him and teleported.
"Hey Skye, what's the rush about?"
((Let's just say that Skye built another castle in the direct center point of the two castles, Ruby went off somewhere (you okay with that?) and Skye merged the two countries and make it easier on all of us.))Skye just barely stopped himself before he ran into both of them. "Zelda's back." He said quickly, then broke into run again. "SYPHON!" He yelled, and he jumped just as Syph swooped under him and caught him in mid-air, flapping his wings effortlessly. 10 years did much to a dragon. He was now a pre-teen :3
"You can recognize her, right?" Skye asked Syph, pressing his body close to resist surface-drag. "Of course. She was only the 3rd human I came in contact with." Syph said, a bit offended that his partner doubted him. "Where's Tia?" Skye asked after a pause. "Coming. Getting some of Zelda's most precious possessions from her vault to help her memory."
((cool...))"We're definately coming."
"We are?" Corvin said.
"Unless you want to stay home and hunt for yourself." There was a pause.
"I'm coming."
"Hurry!" Skye called back to them, Syph growling and speeding up a bit. "She's getting chased by the shadows! We have to get to her before they do!"
Elektra nodded and ran after him. "C'mon Corvin! I know you can go fast when you want to." He sighed and started sprinting.
((Poor Corvin... Gettin' old :( But isn't he a magical animal? Can't he live for eternity?! Elektra would be heartbroken if he died....))
((I kno.... i think im gonna make him eternal, but they don't kno it yet... so Corvin's sorta just using this as an excuse to be lazy ;D))

Oracle ran through the forest, the "bogeymen" getting closer and closer to her. "Just leave me alone!" She cried, still running. She was busy looking behind her, at the dark things following her, when suddenly she tripped over a treestump, flipped in the air, and then rolled down the hill, and onto the bank of a lake. ((God, since she's like, tiny, In my mind that just looks so damn cute!! And funny....))
((XD You're right!!!))Syph sensed Zelda/Ora's distress immediately. "TIA!" Skye yelled, from wherever she was. "SHADOW FIRE!"
Behind them, there was a sudden burst of black flames, spewing from a giant Phoenix's mouth somewhere behind them. The forest was suddenly enveloped in a black haze, poisoning only the shadow creatures, leaving everything else intact.
"ORACLE!" Skye yelled, looking around desperately. He knew the fire wouldn't hurt her, but what if the shadows had already gotten to her?
She's by the lake. Would you like me--
JUST DO IT!
Syph quickly and skillfully descended down to the side of the lake, opposite from where Ora was supposed to be, as Tia quenched her fire and returned to her master, landing on his other side as he dismounted from Syphon.
Ora was even more freaked out. No, terrified was the better word. "EH?!" She skittered back onto her feet, and turned to run. I'm seeing things, I'm seeing things, this isn't real!! I'm asleep I'm asleep I'M ASLEEP! She thought, running from Skye. She had seen him in her dreams, or "visions" as the others called them. But these were more like...nightmares.
"Oracle Adlez, I ask you to stop." Skye said with a tone that was laced carefully with magic, as to free her mind to listen to what he said. He felt the bracelet under his sleeve warm slightly, telling him that he was in fact standing across the lake from the reincarnation of his sister.
Ora stopped, and looked at him, still scared as hell. She found she couldn't run. Well, she could, but it would only be towards him. She tensed, thinking this was the end. She'd be eaten by the Bogey men or killed with a cheese grater by the man infront of her. She was totally and utterly helpless. "Wh...What is going on?!" Oracle asked, still trying to break free from whatever was keeping her there. And she was very close to breaking the magical spell on her...
"The monsters aren't chasing you anymore. Tia took care of them for you." He stroked Tia's wing absent-mindedly, still searching her eyes for a sense of recognition. "I won't hurt you, either." Skye said. "And what was the nonsense of a Cheese Grater? As you can see, I have no such thing on my person." He gestured to his simple outfit, simply a pair of pants and a shirt.
((Hahahahhaha!! Cheese Grater....))"How do you know that?! For all I know, you might conjure up one!!" Ora yelled back. She then caught herself, and then said,"And get out of my head! As headmaster says, 'That's personal property!'"
Elektra stayed out of sight, deciding this would be a good moment for just the two of them.
"Ora," Skye smiled, shaking his head a bit. "In the world you once knew, there was no such thing as 'Personal Property.' Especially not your thoughts." He took a step towards the lake, then held a hand out in front of himself. "Ice." He spoke the simple word, but it suddenly echoed, more powerful, and suddenly the water in the lake directly in front of him, where his hand was, froze over. Taking another step, the ice grew outwards. "Try it." He invited her. "You have the ability to do this."
Elektra sat down on Corvin, who was laying down, and watched them. "Oof... you're not as light as you used to be you know." He whispered.
He shifted a little and she fell backwards. "Oof..." She said a little loudly.
Ora shook her head, stepping backwards a bit. She tripped over a rock, and landed on the wet dirt. "N-no...This is crazy...If anything, I'm asleep again. This is just another one of my crazy dreams...Like the ones you're always in...And sooner or later I'll just wake up again with that strange feeling, and all will be well again..." And I won't be so confused...
