It's not a book yet per se but I'm headed there.

Warning! This story is about teenaged guys who are dealing with coming out in rural 1980's America. Some material may not be suitable for younger readers.

Which characters seem fake/unmotivated?
Which characters seem boring?

Is it too confusing that both Duke and Jason have grandmothers that are active in the story?
