Avery beamed at her. "Merry Christmas, Medea!" He grinned. "Sure, we can trade." He pulled out a silvery package from his bag.

Medea smiled. She handed him a red and gold package. "Theseus found them," she explained.

Medea unwrapped her present. She held up the cloak and compass. Once she realized what they were, she had to blink make tears. "Oh, Avery, thanks. I - I appreciate it." She cleared her throat in embarrassment. "Your gloves - the leather is from an Opaleye dragon, the Australian one. To remind you of your travels and help you win matches next year."
