Ani seemed shocked by this 'rule'. "That is ridiculous!" she exclaimed, but her face immediately fell to an apologetic expression. "I mean--" Her face hardened again as her opinion firmed. "Yes, that's ridiculous."

"I-I really am sorry, Ani..." Darin places his hand lightly on her arm to show he was being sincere. A fraction of a second later he retracts it. He shan't grow attached to anybody. Tha..."
{LITTED, WHERE BE YE?}
Inside of her head, Ani had a laughing fit. But outside, she just smiled and asked, "Why would you?"
Ani shrugged. "People can be very shallow, you know." She opened her book, browsing through some of the potions.

"I see..." he replied boredly, "I know! (he pointed to the ceiling in a sort of 'Eureka' moment) We can practice making a Forgetfulness Potion!" He flipped open to the page, "Here."

Darin read from the book, "Lethe River Water, Valerian Sprigs, Standard Ingredient, and, er, Mistletoe berries."
((I'll have him go talk to her tomorrow.))
((Ah, I don't remember! Um... Do the students get the ingredients in the class or do they have to have them?))

Darin walked in Ani's direction, "I'm coming...'

Darin walked in Ani's direction, "I'm coming...'"
((Sorry, I totally missed that!))
"What did you say we needed again?" She hummed as she perused the cupboard's contents.
"What did you say we needed again?" She hummed as she perused the cupboard's contents.

Claritza shook her head, and wretched the letter from Tristin's pocket. She read the loped script:
My Dearest Tristin,
I would like to inform you that - though you may try - you cannot keep any secrets from me. I don't know why you even attempt it, little brother. Back to business, your new found friend, a Miss Brenda DiCorvino, has had any memories dealing with our little secret extracted. I thought we agreed you wouldn't let anyone find out, but it seems as though you have forgotten our little deal. Please be aware that certain measures have been taken to remind you. If something like this ever happens again, little brother, I will find out and I will retaliate. Don't let it happen again, Tristin. You have been warned. If, perhaps, it does happen again, rest assured you will not like the consequences. I suggest you follow my orders. Let me remind you that I did allow you to survive that tragic accident not so many years ago. I might not be so generous this time around.
With Love,
Demas
"Demas," she spat, immediately hating the unknown person, "'Governor of the people!'" she stood, dropping the letter in a nearby sink and walking like a drunkard...
Because that's what she was. She was drunk with hatred. She pulled Tristin up by his sleeve, and turned his head so that he was facing her.
"Why don't we... find Brenda?"

Well that was it, wasn't it? Where was Brenda? Wait, who was Brenda? Oh, well... she thought, keeping up her walk I'll find her.

She turned, her hand flying up to her collar bone in surprise. She smiled warmly, "Good idea. It's Wednesday, right? We have potions."
Ani grabbed the ingredients as he said them, all except the Valerian Sprigs. "Where are the sprigs?"

Claritza grinned smugly, "I you would care if that happened, Mr.Baelin?" she suppressed a laugh and dramatically raised her eyebrows, suppressing a laugh

Ani stayed staring at the cupboard after he left, avoiding the awkwardness that would ensue upon her return to her seat.
"Sometimes," she replied, sitting down by her cauldron. "Some of the beans taste really terrible, you know? Why do they do that?"
