“In a dark time, the eye begins to see,...”

I agree with this quote because what its trying to say is that when you are having a hard time is when you open your eyes and start realizing what is happening to you at that right moment. A good example for this quote is the Frederick Douglas book because when he were going through his toughest moments he realized that it wasn’t right what they were doing to him. They were treating him like an animal and they dehumanized him. Also I agree with this quote because when you are going through hard times and you open your eyes you could find a good solution to your problems and don’t do the wrong thing.

Frederick Douglass was an American slaved to achieved what he wanted by fighting for it however Frederick didn’t achieved everything that he wanted by him self he got help from almost all of the other slaves that were there living with him. Frederick learned how to read and write and by doing that he opened his eyes.
