Katherine Rodriguez (kathyheart) | 19 comments "In a dark time, the eye begins to see,...” I agree with this quote because in times where you think all is lost, there is no hope is when a solution comes and teaches you that not all is lost and you can find a solution. the two books that I connect with this qoute is who am I without him by sharon G. Flake and Frederick Douglass by Frederick Douglass. the book "who am I without him by sharon G. Flake is a book that talk about a lot teenager problems and the big problems that they have to pass through to understand what are they doing wrong and how they can find a proper solution to their problems. This book has a powerful meaning that connects a lot with this quote, because in this book the most trying situations and problems that young people do not want to see the reality of things, just want to see reality when it is too late. but there is a point when they open their eyes and realize that there is always more of a obcion in life and we all have rights but also duties mistake fix it.

The book 'Frederick Douglass by Frederick Douglass is a powerful book where many people were dehumanized and oppressed by their master. in this book frederick Douglass were a slave who pass trough many problems and mistreatment by other people. This man was someone who decided to end the abuse and violations of rights that slaves had to pass. he shoose how to learn and write to make him self useful and helpful. his goal was abolition of slavery and make others understand that they had a right to express their feelings and rights of expression. This book is also a powerful learner because it teaches us how much better the rights of others and how important it is that we all have the same rights of expression and desires.
