Hector | 6 comments The quote " In the Dark, the eyes began to see" is very interesting. i feel that it is really important because it can be connected to different things. for instance it can be connected to the book of Frederick Douglas. In the book, Frederick is a slave, all his life has been in slavery. He hardly got to know his mother or any other family member, all he knew was that his master could be his father. When he was little he saw how brutal and dangerous slavery could be, but didn't understand why? why did it had to be like that? or who had put him in slavery? In other words, he was in the darkness.

As he grew older he just didn't had to see the brutality and dangers of slavery, he had to feel them. But even than he still dind't understand why? He study in secrete and got informed about slavery. At last he had been able to find what he was looking for, the anwer to his "why's".But knowing the answer were not what he expected, but at last he had seen a shine of light in his darkness. He than was determined to do anythign to get out of his darkness. He had seen all the ignorance that people show.He was tire of having to see through the darkness.
