Okay, completely off subject, does anyone know of any good audiobooks? I have joined the gym and I lose interest in music after a while, so I have decided to listen to an audiobook instead, so does anyone have any recs on what books are good in audio? Doesn't matter what genre it is

You might like Christina Dodd's contemporaries. She's not as popular, but I like her books. Have you read the Drake sisters by Christine Feehan? They are paranormal, but the strong sister bonds are a huge aspect of the stories, as well as the love stories. I am more of a GhostWalker and Carpathian fan, but I ended up enjoying them.
Naomi, the reason why I didn't answer until now is I am very picky about contemporary romance. I usually don't read too many mainstream CRs. I stick with Harlequin/Silhouette. I've heard Julie James is good. I haven't read her, but she's on my list.

Whoa, whoa, whoa....I can't imagine any of the brothers cheating. Maybe he does something to betray the brotherhood? Which, actually, is just as bad.

I loved Gaelen Foley's "Knight Miscellany series"

Yea, I think that's seems in character. I hope whatever it does, he doesn't betray the ones he loves. Maybe it's something close to what happened with Phury.

I loved Gaelen Foley's "Knight Miscellan..."
I agree Tiffany, it is a great series.

Uh oh. Alex just told Daisy that he cares for her but he could never love her. Isn't that usually the beginning of their downfall? Never say never! LOL I really hope Alex eats a big piece of humble pie and regrets those words.

It's only now that I've read this and yeah I agree with you. Qhuinn is a homophobe and it's good for Blay to get a move on, to take notice of someone who appreciates him. I've mentioned this in my reviews, that I'm not exactly a fan of gay characters, but I was really hooked in and got curious about them because JR Ward put a whole lot of emotion here, nothing sleazy and porny, it's about a male being in love with another male.

I think you guys are being harsh on Qhuinn. I really want him to smarten up and go after Blay, but I don't think he's a homophobe, I think that after going through abuse of not being "pure" enough for his high class vampire family, he still has the notion of being a vampire of worth. I think once he's able to get past his family, he will wise up and realizes Blay is for him.

If/when Qhuinn manages to pull his head out, I'll be all about a HEA for Qhuay.

Dhestiny, I didn't say you said, I replied to Joy, who said that he was a homophobe and that Blay deserved better. I do think that Blay deserves better, but to say that Qhuinn hates gay men, or is against it in any way is just not true. He just doesn't see himself forever with a man.
In Lover Mine, didn't he go to find Blay, but it was too late? I feel like at the end he did get to a point where he would try, but Blay was already with his cousin. I wished he would have burst through the door yelling "I LOVE YOU!" But, alas he did not.

Ok, well, you can see my confusion because you quoted ME, then stated your homophobe comment.
As I said, and I'll keep saying - when Qhuinn pulls his head out and gets over whatever it is he's dealing with, and I have NO DOUBT the WARDen will make it big, then I'll be about Qhuay's HEA. I want them to be together, I think they'll be great together, but Blay shouldn't have to sit by and watch the train wreck that is Qhuinn.

Definitely didn't reply to you. Replied to joy who replied to you, so the name is in the chain, but not at the start.
The thing that concerns me, is that Qhuinn has a lot to work out and then he has to win back Blay from his cousin. This should be it's own book, but can it be? I'm not sure how m/m romance is published, but could J.R Ward publish a book in the series that was a gay relationship? I would love to just have a book for Qhuinn and Blay and not just a few pages in someone elses book.

They will get their own book, it was decided between she and the publisher. It'll be written this way so that she can go in depth into their relationship, emotional and physical, without the worry of offending readers who might otherwise be... well... offended. LOL
I appreciate what they're doing for us because if I remember right, the publisher isn't one that usually puts out gay-lit, so they really are working hard to give us readers what we want.
For me that want is a fully developed storyline, a relationship that's written in as much detail as the hetero couples, both sexually and emotionally.
I think Qhuay deserves nothing less.

She doesn't know when it will happen, but knowing that eventually it will, makes me happy :)

Did she finally decide on a book for Qhuay or a novella? I thought it was suppose to be a novella, not a book. (BTW, I'm totally for them to get their own book, they deserve nothing less!!!)

Thanks!

I'v read a few, but I think I also read them out of order. They are okay. Not great but good, imo. I'm not sure that its a 'must read in order'. I think some of the characters intertwine but not enough that the stories are ruined if you do it out of order. Anyone else can correct me if I'm wrong. It's been a while since I've read them.

I'm trying not to be dissapointed with a long novella, but I would have loved to have a full size book for Qhuay. I could read about these two for more than 500 pages, lol.

This book has been in my shelf for the longest time, and I bought the one published by Hodder. Somehow due to the less than 4-star (average) reviews, I don't find myself rushing it to the top of my queue.

Sometimes in books characters will think or call someone a certain thing like homophobe, moron, butch (as in the case of Xhex) and it's just that character being a bigot, not necessarily what the author intends the character to be. Does that make sense? I just woke up not long ago. LOL

I dont think we were offended, Joy. Or I wasn't. We were just clarifying that Qhuinn has nothing against gays. He's been with men as well as women. He just doesn't see himself having a male as a life long companion. He has issues with being a 'freak' already due to his bi-colored eyes and I think he wants to try his best to live a normal life, out of the spotlight. He's going to have to get past all his fears and doubts to be with Blay. The Warden will write this appropriately, I'm sure of it.

Jessa - thanks for the input! I'll probably go ahead and check it out. It will also be my first by this author.
Thanks again!
