I read just about everything except romance (unless you count the Sookie Stackhouse books. Do those count?) and am pretty fickle when it comes to genre. I'm on a mystery bender right now. I just finished Garnethill: A Novel of Crime by Scottish writer Denise Mina and feel like I need to tell the world how fabulous it was.

Glad to have you on board. BTW, I don't count Sookie in the romance category, and I love mysteries.

Thank you Stephanie, Patti, Helen and Lisa (love the gif! I am a dog owner myself.) I actually went thru the issue I bought marking it up. I just subscribed the other day.

I bought Bookmarks yesterday (been reading the website for quite sometime) and subscribed for 3 years today...I love to read reviews and find new books. I get lots of email newsletters, too....it's crazy fun! Everyone seems awesome here.

I'm glad you found us here. I'm sure you will find plenty of books to add to your reading list.

Hey Kathryn, welcome. You will like it here.

Hello to everyone, I'm also from Missouri, just north of Branson Mo. I liked Sharon's post, I'm sure Sharon is enjoying Blackberry season now that's it's June in Missouri:) These are beautiful long days to enjoy in Missouri.
I subscribed to Bookmarks a year ago. That was right after my youngest Son gave me my Kindle for Mother's Day. I had picked up bookmarks for quite a while before then. I really enjoy using the two items together. Bookmarks to select my books and kindle to carry my reading with me everywhere I go. I'm looking forward to this group very much.

Glad you found us on Goodreads! Our group is very informal. We post reviews and thoughts about Bookmark reviewed books in folders/threads which correspond to the issue they were mentioned in. We also select group reads from the magazine and these discussions have their own folder. You can look at the bookshelves to see which books have discussion threads already started. (If you don't see it, then feel free to start a thread in the appropriate folder.)
We also have threads for other books, topics, and games outside of Bookmarks. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Hi! I'm glad you are enjoying your first issue of Bookmarks. I'm sure your TBR is going to grow after reading the magazine and reading the threads from other Bookmarks lovers here on the site.
How close is Saarbruecken to Oberkochen? I had an exchange student from Oberkochen 2 years ago and my son in turn stayed with him. In fact, every 2 years we have about 20 students from a school in Oberkochen come and stay with families from our school. I've met some wonderful kids and teachers through our sister school program.

Thanks for welcoming me!
I just had a look at Google Maps. Oberkochen is about 350km/218 miles away from Saarbrücken, not that far and in a lovely part of Germany.

I read to relax from work.
Thanks for having me.

Welcome to the group! Feel free to jump into any discussion or start your own. Make sure you check out the summer reading bookshelf.

I live in central Ohio and have more books than I will probably ever get to and yet, I still peruse Goodwills and thrift shops for books. I have been on Goodreads for over a year and have known about Bookmarks for several years. I don't know why I hadn't thought about putting the two together and looking for this group. I'm presently reading One Day, Don't Know Much About the Civil War: Everything You Need to Know About America's Greatest Conflict but Never Learned (Don't Know Much About... and listening to Matterhorn: A Novel of the Vietnam War.

Another Goodwill buddy, yeah! I'm glad you've connected with the group. Keep me posted with your thoughts on One Day. I just started it.

I run my library's book sale, too, but I wish I had your strength to avoid the temptation of all those books. Unfortunately, I go home usually with more than a few ;)

I'm glad you discovered us over at the SRC group, and are happily finding new authors to add to your TBR. I look forward to your participation in our discussions.

I'm glad you decided to join some familiar faces and new friends at Bookmarks. {{{I'm sure you weren't under the influence of any Bees to subscribe!}}}
