I'm not sure about it actually showing...I'll have to check.

I am working on my blog and website, (the website is frustrating the hell out of me though)and I hope I can finishe it soon. My projects page is being uncooperative.

pretty simple. and you know my website. You can take a peek at that too even know just the first page is up cuz my hyperlinks are not working. Grrrrrr
Nice blog, Susan :)
What's this PAN all about then?
What's this PAN all about then?

Well, I got the PAN and the PRO mixed up. I am frequently mixing things up.
Anyway, the PRO is for unpublished authors actively seeking representation. PAN would be the published authors. I am a PRO which entitles me to more online information on the craft than just a regular member, like retreats, forums seminars, booklets, etc. not offered to an associate member, (I think that's what they're called) but not the status of PAN. It's confusing.
I just thought it would be nice for GR to offer more to writers actively seeking representation on their profiles than to people who just join GR to read books. It's silly, I know, but how else do we get ourselves out there?
But I suppose maybe Renee is right. We gotta earn it.
Renee, just a thought off the top of ma heid. If a person was classed as a Librarian on GR, would they not have near the same rights as an author?

I think they have similar advantage, but the author pages are set up for 'promotion', and a blog is part of that. Librarian pages aren't. Does that make sense? It would be a good question to ask Goodreads.
clear as a...bell? Just asking, is all.
So, if you are an author, and published a fantastic book like, Menage A 20, but don't have an ISBN #, does that mean you can't be on GR as an author?

The last is probably the most important.
So, Susan could take a short story and create chapbook, mini paperback... fire up a cover on Lulu, get them to supply ISBN, or not. Make it available to public. Hey presto, you're an author.
Mmmm...a nice fruit pie. yummy
