What is everyone thinking so far?

I am not very far yet. I think it is strange to hear all the "noise" and I just want to beat the preacher guy and am very curious about the secrets.

Ok, it took me awhile to get to reading this month. Just finished this book 2 days ago. At first I couldn't figure out why Jodie didn't like it, because the first half was action filled and I read it in a day. The second day, things just kept going badly for the trio, and even though the idea of hope was brought up I couldn't see any reason to hope by this time. And when the dog got killed I was pretty much done with this book. I would not want to be an author of this, because if all you get to think about is this depressing, no thanks.
