"Nice to meet you." Samantha said with a smile. She leaned back again, staring at the sky. "This kinda sucks huh?" she asked. "I mean the whole being stranded thing..."
Jesse smiled. "I guess. We didn't have much to begin with, so its not that bad of a change."Jessica rested her head on his shoulder.
"I see." she nodded understandingly. "I just mean like...no shelter or food or whatever...I guess that means finding fresh water and recreating like...society." she said, furrowing her brow. "That sounds so complex." she said tierdly.
Jessica giggled. Jesse smiled. "Do you play any instruments?"
"Piano and some guitar...more bass than anything...I learned how to play a couple songs this year."
"Cool. We play the guitar and she sings." He smiled.
Samantha smiled. "Sweet. A musical duo."
She nodded. He blushed a little.
Jessica rolled her eyes. Jesse flicked her shoulder.
Samantha smiled. They reminded her of herself and Jasper...she whished she knew where he was. She pushed the thoughts away
((whos jasper?))Jesse stared at her.
((her brother, he might be dead))She glanced up from her deep thoughts
((thats sad))He smiled and blyshed a little when she saw him looking at her.
Jessica flicked him.
((yeah i know))She pretended not to notice, looking away to hide the blush that was threatening in her cheeks. She tried hard to think rationally about how stupid it would be to even attempt a relationship on a deserted island, and with a total stranger at that.
He smiled at her.Jessica looked from one to the other and giggled.
She smiled but then gave Jessica a puzzled look. She blushed deep crimson a few seconds later when she realized what Jessica was implying.
Jessica giggled. Jesse looked away to hide his blush.
Samantha kept her eyes down. "Um..." she studdered.
Jesse kept looking away.Jessica was laughing.
"I'm going for a walk." she muttered, struggling to her feet in agony and limping down the beach, not getting too far without wanting to burst into tears. The pain was almost unbearable.
Jesse quickly stood up. he walked over and put her arm around his shoulder and supported her weight.
She inhaled sharply in both surprise and pain. "I'm..fine.." she grunted through clenched teeth, her leg spazzuming in pain. damn it...
"No, you're not. You can't 'go for a walk' with a leg injury like that."
"Well pardon me for wanting to escape the giddiness of your sister and the awkwardness that was settling in." she spat venomusly through her teeth. She realized how harsh she sounded and exhaled. "Sorry. Pain." she mumbled in embaressment.
"I understand." He smiled. "And what you said about my sister is completely true."Jessica ran up to them and cocked a hip. "Excuse me?"
Samantha smirked up at him and then gave Jessica a sweet smile. "Oh nothing." she said. "I see what you mean." she said to Jesse playfully."
He chuckled. Jessica frowed. She walked back and took out her guitar and played a beautiful song.
Jesse knew that song. it was the song their parents sang to them everynight before they died. He looked down.
She looked up at Jesse. "You okay?" she asked softly, fighting the urge to lay a hand on his cheek.
He nodded. "Our parents sang that to us before they died. it just brings back memories." He tried to smile at her.
She frowned up at him. "I'm so sorry." she said softly
"It's fine." He looked into her eyes.Jessica finished the song.
He stroked her cheek. He was shocked at himself.
Her cheeks burned a blazing red color as she stared at him in wide eyed amazement.
She looked down at her feet, folding her hands over her abdomenvin embaressment
He looked at her. She probably hated him now.
She glanced sideways at him, her heart thudding in her ears.
He searched her face from some clue to what she was feeling.
She caught his eyes for just a second and the shadow of a smile danced across her lips for a split second
He smiled. He saw her faint smile. He subtly pulled her closer.
Jesse nodded and sat down with Jessica.
