Tina | 5 comments Our Father Who Art in a Tree A Novel by Judy Pascoe

The Australian author, Judy Pascoe's book is being made into a film, which is due out this year. It stars Charlotte Gainsbourg as the mother, Dawn, and is set in Queensland, Australia. I'm about to start reading the book, but couldn't find it new or secondhand in Australia or the UK and had to ship it from the US!

Here's the website: http://thetreefilm.com.au/Investigate...

Interesting. Will the film be released in the U.S.? Let us know what you think of the book.

Tina | 5 comments I liked it a lot. I passed it on to may parents and they both loved it! My grandfather died when my father was a young boy and my Dad really related to this book. He said it made him think about what his mother went through when his father passed away, which, of course, as a young boy, he wasn't aware of at the time. He tried to buy a copy in Australia as well and still no luck. Yes, I'm pretty sure the film will be released in the US. Hope the book is reprinted in Australia then too.

Tina | 5 comments I have now heard the book is to be published in France to coincide with the film release, but still not in Australia (strange as Australia is the setting for the story and the home country of the author!). Such a shame really!

Tina | 5 comments Okay. Great news. Just found out that Our Father Who Art in The Tree is being reissued in Australia under the title of The Tree, which is the same as the film.
