i also write realistic fiction. I've never write depressing stories though. mostly friendship and school stories..
I, as well, like realistic fiction. :) Usually it's about friends or light-romance. I'm working on a series now, I call it the Alex series for now since the main girl is Alex. I have the first book finished (not quite done editing it, though), I'm about half-way through the second one, and I'm working on the third one which I'm about a quarter way through.
Well, they're each about different things but set with the same characters and places. The first one is about Alex (girl who's 12, 13 in second two books) and her friends doing different little jobs and things to try and earn the money to go to a concert by their favorite band. The second is about her wanting to re-join the ice hockey team she had played on when she was younger but finding out that it was changed from co-ed to all-boys. She gets frustrated at that because she thinks girls should also be able to play so she masquerades as a boy in order to get on the team. I won't say the ending though.
And the third one is about her and her friends auditioning and being in the school play (Oliver Twist). :)
:D awesome! I don't know when it'll be published, though. I'm hoping to be able to self-publish it but I don't know when.I forgot to add that throughout these books in the series, Alex and her friends (her three bestest friends are the same age as her but her other friends vary from a couple years younger than her to a couple years older than her) go from being 12 to 21 (at least). And through-out the series, Alex and Nicholas (one of her bestest friends)'s relationship grows stronger (they both really like each other but they don't tell until they're older).

I already looked at two of your books... they're pretty cool
Thank you, odd named person that I can re-type.Tay, one is called Familiar Scars and the other is Satan Is The New Cupid; Loath Letters is coming out on Feb 14th. It’ll be the least bad of the three.
The independent publishing industry is becoming very accessible and main stream (and 'hip') that the hardest part about getting published is deciding the least pretentious thing to put in your About The Author.
haha
