same here, melodie. i stopped making them a few years ago. no pressure to read something..lol
just read what moves me at the moment.

Ms. O'Cat will like your list of seventeen!!
I had hoped we might hear from her like last 31-Dec with the MT Birthday list.
You have some good ones on your list, especially In the Woods (I loved it!) New Moon (ok, it is a lot of teenage angst, but a really good book and you have to read it so you can go on with the series!) and What's A Girl Gotta Do (light fun!)

There are several books I keep meaning to finish that I started so perhaps I will list those for when the moment comes and I am in the mood. Wicked, The Pillars of the Earth

A Tale of Two Cities otherwise and that is on my top ten books of all time. Truth be told, though, I typically forget about it by midyear, after having read a couple on the list. Last year I read another of Dickens',
Great Expectations. I'm tempted to take a page from Ann's book and make it a goal to alternate borrowed book with a book from my own library. I have SO many unread books, including books from the first Bcon I attended!

I had started the book and I do pick it up at times so I hope this year I finally finish reading it.

I have never made DL lists, but there are books that I feel I ought to read like the Avalon book I'm reading now because the author is a friend and it's expected of me. It's not that I don't enjoy reading her books. I do, but I might not prioritize this one as the first of 2010 if she weren't also a friend.

No! I didn't know anything about it! I'll look for it. Thanks, Shom.

If you find a replay, please let us know. It appears we have missed it with no future airing that I could find.

I need more time than I have to read it, and I find the style of it makes it harder to read without the flow of a narrative. It is presented in the style of various letters written to the First Lady.
As sort of a 'Determination List' of books to read I am often drawn to history or classics or biographies at the library and take them home to read between my favorite MT books or other fiction. I wish I had more time for this one.

Cathy D. Knepper's book Dear Mrs. Roosevelt: Letters to Eleanor Roosevelt Through Depression and War is broken into four parts, The Great Depression, The New Deal, The War Years and The Home Front. skipping around reading letters shows how much the issues of today are similar.
I am struck by the value of the record that these letters and the First lady's responses in her "My Day" column and other letters indicating actions taken at her request to respond to the issues represent.

Fun site! I went straight to the gardening mysteries. Perhaps I'm looking for spring? !!! (Thank you -- I think!)

You'll love Into the Woods. I did and I'm so happy to see in one of Gail's upcoming release lists that Tana French has a new one coming later this year.

Good Luck with your determination list!
Since I really didn't do a new determination list this year I can dust off my old one and "get caught up with the Stephen King books in my tbr piles". Progress so far - I am still working on reading Under the Dome. Good, but easy to put down too. ;)

Go for it! Pick something fun! ;)

Not much like The Passage! Very different Vamps! LOL.
