#37 Arcadia Falls, Carol Goodman, very good, although the ending was a bit too i don't know, tidy, and the teenage daughter a little annoying, but then, i don't have any daughters, but i loved the fairytales.

#38 The Daughter of Time, Josephine Tey, Loved It!, gave it 4*, but may have to go back and change it to 5. I adore a good mystery and this was the best!

If you liked Daughter of Time, you must try her Brat Farrar. It's one of my all time faves.

Thanks, I'll look for it. How did I never hear of this woman before? I've already ordered "The Man In the Queue" from the library.

I had heard about Daughter of Time because of an interest in Richard III. The book is often seen as leading the charge to recast Richard as a victim rather than the bad guy Shakespeare made him out to be. I tried a couple of Tey's other books and wasn't the impressed. Then years later picked up Brat Farrar and read it in a day.

#39 The Picture of Dorian Gray, I need to read more classics considering there is a reason they are classics. 5*s.

#57 Sworn to Silence, Linda Castillo. I was disappointed. Gave it 3 starts, but probably should have been two. I was hoping to learn more about the Amish culture, and found the situations (characters?) too predictable and way too many cliches, but I was interested enough to keep reading to the end even though the reader just knows how it's going to turn out.

#58 The Deadly Dance, M.C. Beaton, love, love, love Aggie
#58 The Deadly Dance, M.C. Beaton, love, love, love Aggie#59 The Lonely Polygamist, Brady Udall - not too sure about this one. Enjoyed it very much but was disappointed in the end and not at all sure why it ended that way, and need to find a discussion on it.
#72, Bight Lights, Big Ass, Jen Lancaster, When I saw she was not only an ex-sorority girl, but an ex-sorority girl from Purdue, I had to read it! And so glad I did, very, very funny. I have to go back to the used book store and look for her others.

#73 13 1/2 Nevada Barr, disappointing. I figured out the mystery way too early and kept reading thinking there had to be more to it. There wasn't. And too many things people (characters?) should have questioned, they didn't. If those edges had been smoothed out a little it could have been a much, much better story.
