You rock, Dini!!!!!!!!

message 3: by Katri (new)

Katri (Valancy) | 107 comments There are so many interesting books on this list! Though there are a few I won't read (I tried Oryx and Crake once and decided it's definitely not something I want to read, and no, people who love the book are not going to be able to convince me, I read far enough to know I can't finish it) but most of them are something I'm very interested to read, so I'll do my best to get as many of them as possible!

Arctic | 571 comments book and author links as well. you do indeed rock, Dini. :) Thanks! Happy New Year!

Erin | 76 comments thanks Moderators - for re-vamping our nomination and voting process & for computing our selections to produce this great list! There are books on here that I've been wanting to get to for years and others I probably would have never considered if it were not for this group. Happy New Year!

Haha, I won't try to convince you otherwise, Katri, but just want to put my voice out there for those who are interested in reading Oryx and Crake that I liked it - don't be discouraged! :)

Looking forward to reading some of these - others are re-reads and will probably not re-read them again, but will peek in on the discussions.

Hey all,
Michele has mentioned that we're going to try and have one of the group members to become discussion leaders, preferably someone who voted for the chosen selection. For February's book the discussion leader would be Katri. Here's to some good discussions next month :)

message 10: by Anna (new)

Anna (lilfox) | 199 comments Great. I had heard of 7 out of twelve books. I've read Name of the Rose, Anna Karenina and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time.

message 11: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 8 comments I've been meaning to read Anna Karenina for a long time now but been putting it off because it's so long. Well, maybe I'll read it this time! Otherwise, I'll try to read most of these but I probably won't get through them all.

Awesome! Thanks, Dini, and thanks, Katri! :)

message 13: by Arctic (new)

Arctic | 571 comments Suggestion: August's book, Anna Karenina is really long. Could we maybe put up a discussion post(s) for it early, perhaps in three parts: July, August, and September?

Interesting idea, Heather. I'll talk about it with the other moderators.
