It does indeed! Have you read the Tess Monaghan series? I'm not sure what I think of Baltimore Blues, I'm making my way through but it's not grabbing me.

I have read some of the Tess Monaghan series. I started out of order and skipped Baltimore Blues, though I bought it in pb years ago and it is in a tbr pile somewhere. I sometimes have found Laura's books to be a bit hard to get into and I always want to like them as she is such a nice person from what I can tell online so usually stick with them and end up ranking them 9 of 10 or so.

Carol, I've read all the books in the Tess Monaghan series so far and, for me, Baltimore Blues was by far the weakest. I think the series really took off with the third book Butchers Hill.

Sandi gives us an excellent testimonial to promote reading out of order! UOOOR's have more fun! ;)

My mother's name was Miriam, but most people called her Mim. She was such a character that as a child I developed a special form of literature, it was known as the Mim Tale. This is one of my Favorites.

Maybe that would be a book to give another read too since I don't remember it.
And back then saying it read it and having really read it was two different things.
