Ally McCulloch (allymcculloch) I'm going to try for Stephen King's The Stand.
I currently have Foam of the Daze - Boris Vian checked out.
A friend gave me a book called Pictures at a Revolution. I should try to read that pretty soon. Plus I have some Auster to finish including the dog book. Woof!!

The first book I'm going after is A Tale of Two Cities, by Dickens.
I started it for a book report in high school, but never finished. That has always bugged me so I'm going to knock it out.
We'll see where I go from there.

The first book that will be completed this New Year will be City of Bones by Cassandra Clare.

dimwig | 3 comments I just wrote a blog post on this topic: http://somethingsweetsomethingtender....

Right now I'm reading Orwell's Down and Out in Paris and London. Great so far!

Barry, I know I've said this a million times elsewhere, but once more: I can't recommend Bolaño highly enough. You're going to love him! Definitely worth making him a priority.

Emily Rozmus (rozmuse) | 35 comments I wanted to join the 50 in 2009, but didn't find the group till half way through, so I am happy to find this group! I read/review for a couple of different groups/publications, so starting off this year, I have Wish You Were Dead by Todd Strasser, the Riot By Walter Dean Myers and Boom! by Mark Haddon. Personally, I can't wait to read the Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery, The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga, The Verneys by Adrian Tinniswood, and Les Miserables. Professionally, I am reading Revisiting Professional Learning Communities at Work.

I just finished Shiver (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater a young adult novel. I didn't really care for it until the last 3 pages. Oh well.

I'm now working on Fantasy Lover (Dark-Hunter, #1) by Sherrilyn Kenyon . I practically just started but I'm really enjoying this book. Kenyon would really have to mess the ending up for me to give less then 4 stars.

I'm so close to 3,000 pages. I'm happy that I've been picking out pretty good books. Currently I am working on my 9th & 10th book. Born of Fire (League Series #2) by Sherrilyn Kenyon Wicked Lovely (Wicked Lovely, #1) by Melissa Marr

Born of Fire was Great! I loved this one just as much as Born of Night. I thought it wouldn't be as good because the original characters weren't really in this book. But I was wrong!

Still working on Wicked Lovely. A bit of a slow start for me. So far I haven't been pulled in.

I recently started reading Funny in Farsi: A Memoir of Growing Up Iranian in America (non-fiction memoir) and Stray (paranormal shifters).
