Hello :) I've been playing around with finding a YA group to join and yours looks pretty. Many of my favorites authors write YA and I like a little specificity in my life right now. I'm uber fond of Harry Potter, Tamora Pierce, Diana Wynne Jones, Scott Westerfeld, C.S. Lewis and Robin McKinley. Looking forward to knocking around in here and getting to know all of you!

Hey i'm Lizz and i'm 22 about to be 23. I foster puppies and I have two dogs of my own. I'm dyslectic but I love to read. If it wasn't for the english teachers I had in high school I won't be reading at all. I was reading on a 2nd grade level going into high school and left at a 9th grade level. I also have ADHA. You guys can ask me anything you what to know about what I went thourgh.

Hi everyone! My name is Rachel and I am finishing up my Masters in Library and Information Science with a concentration in Youth Services in a Public Library. I read YA books for fun, and they are usually my go to books if I have run out of things to read. I haven't decided whether I want to focus on Teen Services, but I did get more experience working with teens this summer and feel more comfortable with them. I have been lucky this summer to have a lot of free time to catch up on my reading.

Hi, I'm cissi. I don't remember if I have commented on this already or not, so I will just make sure. Okay, here goes... I guess i don't belong here, in the adults for YA group, but I am here anyways. I am thirteen, and my favorite subject/activity is reading. I really hate how little amount of teens read,So I try my hardestto get them to read. I also like to write. I am working on my book right now, and I am on fanfiction and fictionpress. I usually set out to write something happier than what I normally write, but then I end up writing mire emo death poetry. The sad part is that I don't even know where it comes from, it simply just is. I am a straight a student, I have been for my life, and I plan on always being one. I really wish that people would take my dream of becoming an author and writing a book seriously, and that they would help me out and read it, but I'll stop venting to you, who don't have a clue what this rant is all about. Anyways, I am a teen who hangs around adults way too much for hr own youth, and lobes to read and write. Hi!!!
YA fiction for adults... I love this group.. When I saw this, I knew I had to join.. Ive always felt a bit dopey reading books meant for a younger age group... Im no teen! Still I do love a good book; it really doesn't matter whom a book is written for. The last YA books I read include Suzanne Collins Hunger Games and the Immortal Instruments Series.

This looks like the perfect group for me! I hope to nab more great book ideas from you all. I read a lot of YA, especially fantasy. I tend to read what is available on audiobook and on Kindle, since I'm visually impaired, electronic books allow me to make anything large print.

Hi all. My name is Milly and I'm addicted to reading, especially YA books! I've always loved this genre when I was a teenager and got back to YA 2 years ago when I started reading the Twilight Series. I've read so many series and so many good books. I'm biased towards any books by Suzanne Collins (Hunger Games), Cassandra Clare (City of Bones series), Maria V. Snyder (Study and Glass series), Kelly Armstrong (Summoning Series), Lisa McMann's (Wake Series) Jandy Nelson and her book, The Sky is Everywhere, books by Sarah Dessen and Susane Colasanti, Kristin Cashore's Graceling, L.J. Smith's The Secret Circle and Night World Series, and of course Scott Westerfeld's books..and so many more! I'm just a YA at heart even though I'm not so young anymore. Working with kids as a therapist everyday helps me to stay and feel like a YA.

I've always had people tell me I will never make it as a writer. Even someone who was a writer told me that I'd never be a writer and for a few years I'd given up on writing. I'm back to writing now and working on a book trilogy.
There will be people who won't take you seriously, but don't let that get to you. I am sure your stories are great. Keep writing and don't give up on your dream.

Hi, I'm Lisa. I think I joined once before and quit because I couldn't keep up. But, I'm an adult who has eclectic taste in books. I read all sorts of adult, young adult, and children's books. I read quite a few young adult books. I'm probably going to be mostly a lurker here because I still don't have the time to keep up. I just marked as read all posts to date, in fact, and I may mark some future posts as read without really reading them.
This seems like a terrific group and I'm here so I can get book ideas and to just keep up with what's out there in young adult literature.
I will try to contribute at times though if I have book recommendations or anything else to add.

Hello everyone! I'm excited to join this group. After teaching 26 years of junior high science, I'm finally getting to teach one class of reading. I guess that English minor finally paid off. I just finished Wicked Lovely and am on the waiting list for Ink Exchange. Cannot wait to get my hands on a copy of Mockingjay. I'm currently reading In My Father's House.

Anyway, while I feel like I haven't read much (and I know I haven't read much lately) I hope I can contribute to this group and find some amazing books as well!Right now I am finishing Dark Flame by Alyson Noel which is the fourth book in The Immortals Series. I love it, however is seems as though the story is dragging at this point... I dunno, I still enjoy it though.
