There are a lot of problems authors are having with uploading pdf files straight into Amazons Digital Text Platform which tries it's best to convert it to the html format that the Kindle uses. Often times it doesn't come out like you want it.
An easy fix for this is to convert your pdf to html before uploading it onto the kindle.
