My publisher has put a copy of my book up for free as well. I dearly hope a true fan of poetry wins it and reviews it, too, because the two copies from the last giveaway (orchestrated by me) were never reviewed or even read for all I know by the winners.
The psychology of entering all of these giveaways willy-nilly (and there's a huge posse of GR folks who do just that) bewilders me. Is it just to say "I got free stuff!" or do they e-bay it?
Anyway, my book giveaway:

Still the Dawn. A book of poems and ballads. Poems written to preserve memories, explore moods, emotions, art, myths, real events and dreams, together with some attempts at light verse, even nonsense.
Ballads that tell tales, reflect on the seasons, time and its passing.
The poet enters the mead hall, unlids his word hoard, recites. He shares his gift.
Those who attend to his words, he hopes to entertain.

I don't know if it's too early in my membership to offer up my own written verse. Does 6x reviews earn me the right to kindly ask you to consider reading my work? :P
Just know I'm not here to spam and run; I really do like this group. And if none of you are interested in checking out my work that's cool, too. <3

If you are (interested), I will happily send you a mobi, pdf, or Smashwords coupon. ( I also have a Goodreads giveaway for the paperback starting Jan 17th; the paperback is a bit pricey due to the color artwork)
Private feedback or public reviews are deeply appreciated. I'm only about five years and four works into this whole indie author world so gaining readers is what matters.
Also, I've won an AI Badge of Approval and B.R.A.G. Medallion for one of my novels, and I've recently had two of my poems published in Better Than Starbucks Poetry Journal. So my writing's legit, haha. I hope!
Thanks for considering! Oh, and you can friend/message me here at Goodreads or contact me at tabithaauthorpen@gmail.com if you'd like a free copy.

My name is Mandar Naik & I have published my poetry collection - Feathers, shades, shadows and a few raindrops.

first of all I would like to thank all of you for making such a group a really beautiful and supportive environment!
Here is my first book:
The A to Z of You and Me

It is based on my personal relationship [long-distance for the most part], the high of love and the pain and challenges faces. I would appreciate if you take a look and maybe add it to your 2017 Reading list! :)

Wanderings provides a unique perspective on everyday, ordinary life, giving words to emotions that many of us avoid or deny ourselves from feeling. Cathartic in some places, constructive in some,
you will definitely come across pieces you can find yourself relating to.
This book deals with life, love, anger, despair and the resulting chaos that engulfs the hidden corners of our soul. It talks about societal restraints and the struggle to be ourselves in a world that so desperately
tries to change us every moment it gets. It sings of survival, when we are that close to letting go. But most importantly, Wanderings shows us the pleasure of looking beyond what we see, of spraying magic in the ordinary,
of dreaming a life beyond boundaries, and striving to make that dream come true.

Welcome to Luanne Castle’s Kin Types, where every piece, poem or prose, is a ghost –-but not the sort you can see through. You see, Castle's ghosts have been resurrected through powerful emotion and startling detail, have been made suddenly solid and real again with a skill that brings to mind the work of Edgar Lee Masters. Herein we find all the heart and heartbreak of ordinary lives from the past finally valuated properly, given their own set of lines and stanzas, their own sentences and paragraphs, the attention and care of a gifted and sympathetic writer. Which is to say, you’re going to want to stick around for a while. Kin Types exists at the precise place where literature and history intersect to make something both beautiful and true.

Thank you, Luanne and Richard! So excited for this anthology to come out -- I admire so many of the writers in it.
And congrats to both of you on your own recent collections -- sorry that I've only been keeping up with this thread sporadically, so I didn't get around to congratulating you before now. Fine accomplishments.

My name is Ana, I am 23 years old and I just published my poetry book. This is one of the poems from my book, I hope you enjoy it:
"In my hands I behold the light from the dawn in your eyes
You closed the door where the evil grows like an ivy,
Showing me the way to skywards, beyond outer realm.
The place where the chanting hum of your heart
Makes the golden harp play.
When sunset comes, let me watch the stars in your eyes,
Let me get lost in your infinte embrace,
Let me kiss your temples - the sun and the moon."

Here's a sample poem & audio recording recently published in GLASS: http://www.glass-poetry.com/journal/2...
“This book earns its title. It’s a field guide to the ecosystem that is being human. And that means it is also an autobiography. It is unclear in most of the poems where the human begins and ends, and this is how it should be. The world that comes out of these poems is luminous and difficult. This isn’t conventional nature poetry; it’s a poetry that helps us understand the future and the world that embeds us.” –Juliana Spahr, author of Well Then There Now

The book is incredibly short as poetry books go and might only take you between 30-45 minutes to read; many of the poems in the 60-page book are just 4-5 lines and encompass themes of love, loss, and mental health.
Please check it out if you can and let me know what you think! Feel free to also join the Giveaway: https://www.goodreads.com/giveaway/sh...

Hello, I'm a new author of a poetry book "Between Our Eyes That Fall" and I am looking for reviews as well.
The poetry I write is a shadow to all the places I have been, whether they have been real or imagined. I like to think that my poetry is the beginning to something. In all honesty, even I hardly know the entirety of my words, and it’s not up to me or you to fully understand them. It’s never been like that. They are the beginning to the stories in my head, so that maybe later I can understand a life I have never lived and feelings I have never felt. I write to bring myself to that point. Where the words are just the beginning and the rest is up to me. To us.
Well, anyways, thank you for taking your time to read this. I hope you consider picking it up from Amazon and giving it a read ^^

Lost Sherpa of Happiness
https://www.amazon.com/Lost-Sherpa-Ha...

Book description: "Kin Types is a collection of lyric poetry, prose poetry, and flash prose that imaginatively retells the lives of private individuals from previous generations. Using family history research, the writer has reconstructed the stories of women and men from Michigan to Illinois to the Netherlands. Read together, the pieces create a history of women dealing with infant mortality, vanity, housewife skills, divorce, secret abortion, the artist versus mother dilemma, mysterious death, wife beating, and a brave heroine saving a family's home."
I hope you'll consider checking it out if that sounds like your cuppa.

What's love really about?
Is it a chemical process or is the chemical process a result of falling in love?
If you had to explain love in one sentence, how would it read?
Is love unreal? "Butterflies in my stomach" free to download till the 10th of December. http://amzn.to/2iLgRX6
I'm the author of mentioned book which includes poems and it would mean a lot if it got read and reviewed. :-)

Sophomore effort in Poetry, just published today!
I don't know whether to say this collection was a labor of love or labor in the sense of the most intense pain of my life that I never want to relive and long to forget.
Nevertheless, my hope, as with all my writing, is that it will strike a chord in someone out there. Offer some kinship at worst, a light in the darkness at best.
