I't would really be nice if Cran did become the next rider, but if u think about it, he prolby won't. umm... i am kinda leaning towards one of the two elf kids being the next rider. they already have gifts that normal elfs don't they might make for an intresting rider.

OH... i just had a brain blast. what if when galby does die and (if) Nasusda takes her place as leader of the land, she banishes eragon and thats why he leaves the land and never comes back. Sounds good rite?

lol. i don't think she'll die but i don't think shell run the land once galby is gone. yea shed probly do a good job during war time but i don't think shed do a good job during peace time.

What if Brom was the new rider? He was preserved by Eragon. Beside CP will have less intro on him since we already know him.

Brom was my fav person in the book. i was soooooo mad ant upset when he died. but he died protecting his son. the son of the women he loved. the son that he loved enuf to forsake everyone hes ever known to be close, in a roundabout manner but once again of he could protect him, and see grow up. i truly believe that if brom had to chose his own demise that would be what he wanted. to die protecting the ones you love is the highest honor for some. so lets agree to let his memory live in peace.

And who knows maybe the vault of souls is where eragon will get to see brom, his mother, the real eragon, and his old teacher. maybe they will pool their strenght together and give it to eragon to store in aren and use against galby.

And besides y would he get a new one? and would he even want a new one. he says in the last book that its eragon turn to pick up the standard. its a good idea, harpoon n true cp wouldn't have to do much of an intro, but what would b the point?

It would be interesting to see father and sons fighting side by side. Galdy had a new dragon although forced. But y cant brom have one too.

i didnt say he couldnt. its justs just that brom is dead n its doubtful that hes coming back. and besides even if he did i dont think brom would force a dragon hachling to serve him. its not his style.

Brom can't come back to life. How would he? Magic can't bring people back to life. If CP did that he'd be defying his own rule. I LOVED Brom though, he was my FAVORITE character, then Murtaugh came in and filled the gaping hole for me, hehe
