Callie (neverlandcallie) :D It's soo much fun!

I wrote a lot yesterday, but again, it's notebook stuff. So maybe later I'll update. I also started a really good book today, Airborn, by someoneIdon'tknow. Anyway, I finally got into it, and I absolutely love it!

Callie (neverlandcallie) Earlier in the week, I added a nice 4-line poem to my poetry. It's going to be starring in one of my novels, so if you steal it, I will be overly angry. But feel free to read it and give me feedback! Thank you!

I noticed your name changed...is Anilynn your full name?

message 264: by Callie (new)

Callie (neverlandcallie) Thanks! I'm so happy! Ha ha, sort of. I like Anilynn better than Annie :D

message 268: by Callie (new)

Callie (neverlandcallie) :D thank you!

message 269: by Callie (new)

Callie (neverlandcallie) I hate rewriting, and trying to find the right words to put at the beginning. It bugs the crap out of me. :D

message 270: by Callie (new)

Callie (neverlandcallie) My first Drabble! Take a look! Please?!

message 271: by Kritika (new)

Kritika (spidersilksnowflakes) | 465 comments Oh I think I read about those on someone else's thread. Your drabble is so sweet and sad. I don't think I'd be able to write one; exactly 100 words must be really difficult.

message 272: by Callie (new)

Callie (neverlandcallie) No kidding

message 273: by Callie (new)

Callie (neverlandcallie) I've written a lot lately, but of course I'm just far too lazy to tally it all up. ha ha.

message 274: by Callie (new)

Callie (neverlandcallie) I just love rejections. It makes me feel like such an important person! *Insert all sorts of words here*

message 275: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller | 672 comments Awww I'm sorry! Me too. =( I've lost track of how many I've gotten now... even worse than that are the ones who don't even bother to reply, you know?

message 276: by Callie (last edited Jun 17, 2010 06:10PM) (new)

Callie (neverlandcallie) You know what, it's fine. I received the nicest rejection I've had today! She said she was sad that she didn't want to accept my project. She thought someone else could do a better job. (Or in other words, it's just not that good enough.) I couldn't care less anymore, though I do think that there is one agent that just might accept my project. *crosses fingers*

message 277: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller | 672 comments I got a nice one too the other day... I was really happy it wasn't a form letter though.

Dear Ms. Miller:

Thanks for your query.

As to your material I'm afraid I must pass -- I'm just not enthusiastic enough about the premise of your story to feel that I'd be the right agent for the project. Our agency represents a very full list of fiction writers and we must be highly selective in adding to it. I realize it is difficult to judge your potential from a query; nevertheless please know that I give serious attention to every letter, outline, and writing sample I receive.

Sorry I couldn't give you a more positive reply. Thanks for thinking of me, though, and best of luck in your search for representation.

Sincerely,
Jennifer Jackson

message 278: by Callie (new)

Callie (neverlandcallie) Ha ha, I sent her one, and she rejected me too! And thanks!

message 279: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller | 672 comments Oh really? =P That's... ironic. Makes me feel a little bit better though!

You're welcome!

message 280: by Callie (new)

Callie (neverlandcallie) :D

message 281: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller | 672 comments By the way, is your cubical name a Chicago reference? ;)

message 282: by Callie (new)

Callie (neverlandcallie) Ha ha, no, not really. I was just upset with all the wind around my house yesterday. There were 3 power bumps, and I about died.

message 283: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller | 672 comments Ohhhh, okay.

Callie (neverlandcallie) <=================== SO HAWT!!!

message 286: by Callie (new)

Callie (neverlandcallie) Okay, so my nano story that I've been writing for the past 2 NaNoWriMo's, I have decided to re-write it again! But this time, I think I've actually got the write story in my hands. However, this year I'm not going to have it be my NaNo story. I think I'll do something else, mostly because I need more time to drag this one out.

So at midnight last night I was writing the first page, and I absolutely love it! The voice of the story should be much better than the past two drafts, and now that I have more than a month to write it, it should be much, much better.

But what am I going to write for NaNo this year?!?!

Callie (neverlandcallie) I just have to tell you all, that Eclipse is by far, the best out of the books, and by a million kajillion miles, it's the best out of the movies. We still have yet to see Breaking Dawn, but I'm not sure if that can top Eclipse in the books. I hated Breaking Dawn. Eclipse was awesome! GO SEE ITTTTT!!!!!

message 289: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller | 672 comments Eclipse was definitely the best movie, and I think it will always be. I have my doubts about Breaking Dawn as a movie... like Reneesme? That's just going to be strange.
